Newly unsealed court documents have revealed shocking details from the set of the film It Ends With Us, including a Sony Pictures executive's inflammatory description of actress Blake Lively.
Executive's Explosive Testimony
In testimony, Sony executive Andrea Giannetti admitted to referring to Lively as a "f***ing terrorist" during production. Giannetti claimed the comment arose from Lively's extensive "17-point list" of conditions she demanded before returning to set, a situation that reportedly contributed to significant tensions.
A Troubled Production
The executive characterised the filming environment as a "s*** show", citing numerous production issues and ongoing conflicts. Central to these disputes were Lively's complaints about co-star and director Justin Baldoni, whom she accused of being unprepared and indecisive, allegations that have fuelled the current legal proceedings.
Legal Battle Escalates
Lively is pursuing a lawsuit against Baldoni and the film's producers, alleging sexual harassment and damage to her professional reputation. Baldoni has firmly denied all claims. Notably, a previous $400 million countersuit filed by Baldoni against Lively has been dismissed by the court.
Supporting Evidence and Witnesses
The unsealed evidence includes private text messages from high-profile figures connected to the production. Author Colleen Hoover, singer Taylor Swift, and co-star Jenny Slate all provided communications. Slate's messages were particularly damning, describing the shoot as "really gross and disturbing" and labelling Baldoni a "narcissist".
Financial Stakes and Future Proceedings
With Sony Pictures having invested approximately $28 million in the project, the financial implications of the production turmoil are substantial. The trial is currently scheduled to proceed in May, unless a settlement is reached between the parties before that date.
