Tasha Ghouri reveals 'horrific trolling' and mental health battle in 2025
Tasha Ghouri opens up on 'mentally tough' year of trolling

Reality TV star Tasha Ghouri has bravely opened up about enduring a 'mentally tough' year in 2025, during which she faced a barrage of 'horrific trolling' online. The 27-year-old, who rose to fame on Love Island and later starred in Strictly Come Dancing, shared a candid reflection on her Instagram story as she looked ahead to 2026.

A Year of Struggle and Resilience

In a heartfelt message to her followers, Tasha Ghouri described the profound impact the online abuse had on her wellbeing. She wrote that 2025 was 'tough mentally' and that she had to 'dig out of deep places' following the torrent of cruel messages. The trolling reportedly intensified after her split from Love Island boyfriend Andrew Le Page, 30, in January 2025. The breakup turned acrimonious, with Andrew accusing Tasha of being on the celebrity dating app Raya while they were still together.

Ghouri revealed the abuse became so severe it massively impacted her mental health, to the point where she 'didn't want to leave my bedroom'. She expressed anxiety about sharing her experience but stated that doing so felt like a 'fresh new beginning'.

Finding Happiness and a New Beginning

Despite the challenges, Tasha's year-end montage on Instagram showcased many positive moments. The clips highlighted a year of glamorous events, joyful occasions with friends, and loved-up moments with her new boyfriend, BBC presenter Cam Whitnall. The pair, who reportedly bonded over a shared love of animals, began their romance in May 2025.

Tasha emphasised that she is now entering 2026 'surrounded by love', with a 'whole heart' and 'even more strength'. She vowed to leave the negativity behind, stating, 'Never again am I letting them tear me apart to the point I completely lost myself and my love for what I do.' She thanked her supportive fans for their kindness during her journey.

Moving Forward with Strength

Tasha Ghouri's relationship with Cam Whitnall appears to be a significant source of her newfound happiness. Whitnall, a presenter on CBBC's One Zoo Three and managing director of The Big Cat Sanctuary charity, was first spotted with Tasha at a Strictly Come Dancing live show. A source close to the couple said they share much in common, both personally and professionally.

Reflecting on her ordeal, Tasha chose not to dwell on the details of the trolling, telling fans, 'I don't want to talk much on it because I know people want to be sad and never be happy.' Instead, she is focused on the future, declaring that the coming year 'is going to be big' and that she is moving forward with a smile.

Her story highlights the severe real-world consequences of online abuse for public figures and serves as a powerful message about reclaiming one's mental health and happiness after profound personal challenges.
