TOWIE Star Jordan Brook's Hospital Ordeal Over Brain Inflammation
Jordan Brook, a star from the reality show The Only Way Is Essex, has been confined to a hospital bed for over a week due to a severe and mysterious brain condition. The 31-year-old barber is battling inflammation and swelling of the brain, a situation his pregnant girlfriend, Sophie Kasaei, has labelled a "never-ending hell" and a "nightmare" for the couple.
Sophie Kasaei's Emotional Updates on Social Media
Sophie Kasaei, 36, who is 22 weeks pregnant with their first child, has been actively updating fans on Jordan's health via Instagram. In a recent post, she explained that Jordan is unable to use his phone due to pain and excessive sleeping, while he undergoes treatment and awaits further medical results. She emphasised that his family is by his side, as it is too risky for her and the baby to visit the hospital frequently.
"Jordan is still in the hospital and we are still waiting for answers whilst he is getting treatment and medication," Sophie wrote. "He will be there for the next few days and hopefully be on the mend and back home to me and bump very soon."

From his hospital bed, Jordan shared a heartfelt update, describing the experience as "a really scary time that reassures you we are all human." He confirmed the diagnosis of brain inflammation and swelling, expressing hope to recover soon and return home to Sophie and their unborn baby. However, he admitted that the road to recovery feels "a long way off" at the moment.
"Unfortunately this is still the view for me. This seems to be a never ending hell at moment," Jordan posted. "I’m awaiting results from a procedure once we get them more will be cleared up."
Background on the Couple's Pregnancy Journey
The couple, who announced their pregnancy just before Christmas, underwent fertility treatment in Athens three months prior to discovering they were expecting. Sophie is due to give birth in mid-June, adding an extra layer of stress to Jordan's health crisis. They shared the news with a festive video featuring a heart-shaped ornament reading "Merry Christmas Mummy and Daddy. See you in 2026" and a Christmas stocking embroidered with "baby Brook coming 2026" under a rainbow image.
Sophie has thanked fans for their support and understanding during this difficult time, assuring that Jordan will reconnect with friends and clients as soon as he is able. The couple's focus remains on his recovery and the upcoming arrival of their baby.
