Reality TV star and documentary maker Zara McDermott has offered fans a heartfelt look back at her year, sharing a series of personal snaps including a rare loved-up photo with her famous boyfriend, Louis Tomlinson.
A Magical Year in Review
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the 29-year-old former Love Island contestant posted a lengthy recap of her 2025, which she described as filled with 'magical moments'. Among the highlights was a throwback selfie with One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, 34, taken during a romantic getaway. The couple, who confirmed their relationship in August after dating from March, posed happily in a car wing mirror during their trip to Costa Rica in May 2024.
Zara beamed under a beige baseball cap while Louis sported a white T-shirt and sunglasses. She gushed about the Central American adventure, writing: 'Went to Costa Rica, a country I’ve wanted to visit since I was a teenager. The most magical trip of my life!!'
Festival Firsts and Family Time
The year was also marked by personal milestones, including attending her first-ever Glastonbury festival in June. McDermott admitted she was 'nervous' to go to the iconic event at Worthy Farm but ended up having a wonderful time alongside Louis and his sister, Lottie Tomlinson, with whom she shared a sweet photo.
Professionally, Zara expressed gratitude for her documentary work, particularly the impact of 'To Catch A Stalker', and for relaunching her YouTube channel after years of hesitation. She also celebrated taking her family on a surprise holiday for her parents' 30th wedding anniversary and attending the British Fashion Awards in a stunning bespoke feathered gown.
A Relationship Going from Strength to Strength
The social media reflection comes after the couple recently celebrated their first Christmas together, with fans spotting presents under Zara's tree labelled from both her and Louis. The pair also enjoyed a cosy weekend away for Zara's 29th birthday with Louis's sister Lottie.
This new romance follows Zara's split from long-term boyfriend Sam Thompson in December 2024, after nearly five years together. The Made In Chelsea star has since moved on publicly with new girlfriend Talitha Balinska.
