Rebecca 'Bec' Judd's Christmas preparations were thrown into disarray this week after her young sons turned their dining room into a scene of domestic destruction.
Festive Frenzy: A Pre-Christmas Catastrophe
The socialite and AFL WAG, 42, took to Instagram on Christmas Eve to reveal the festive foul-up. Her nine-year-old twin boys, Tom and Darcy, had managed to tear down the lavish floor-to-ceiling curtains in the family dining room at their Brighton home.
With just one day remaining before loved ones were due to gather for a festive lunch, the incident could not have been more poorly timed. The expensive curtains lay in a crumpled heap on the floor of the otherwise tidy room.
Bec posted a photo of the wreckage with the caption: 'Judd twins free to good home.' She clarified the cause, writing: 'This is not a cricket incident. More of a nine-year-old boy being a s*** incident.'
Emergency Repairs Save Christmas Lunch
Faced with a major decorating disaster, the mother-of-four was forced to call in professionals for an emergency repair job on December 24th.
She later shared images showing the beige curtains, which cover three enormous windows, successfully re-hung. Bec expressed her gratitude to Lynch’s Window Fashions for coming to her rescue at the last possible moment.
'Thank you Lynch’s Window Fashions. The last thing you need is coming out to reinstall your beautiful curtains on Christmas Eve,' she wrote to her followers.
The family mansion, which Bec and her husband splashed $7.3 million on in December 2019, was once again presentable for the Christmas celebrations.
A Week of Pre-Holiday Stress for the WAG
This domestic drama capped off a stressful lead-up to the holidays for Bec. Just days earlier, she had shared her frustration when a flight to Melbourne was significantly delayed due to stormy weather.
She posted a photo from aboard a Qantas flight, worried her Christmas was being 'ruined'. The plane had missed its landing approach and was forced to circle above the clouds.
Fortunately, the flight landed safely, and a relieved Bec shared a clip of herself smiling as the plane touched down at Melbourne Airport. 'Christmas isn't ruined! Thanks Qantas,' she wrote.
Earlier in December, the style influencer had unveiled her unique 2025 Christmas tree—an abstract, expandable fold-out tree made of paper by Neue Blvd, which retails for a whopping $1,200.
Despite the curtain calamity and travel turmoil, it appears the Judd family's Christmas was ultimately saved by some quick thinking and even quicker tradespeople.
