Influencer Holly Ramsay, 25, will finally reveal her wedding dress in an exclusive New Year's Day spread for Vogue magazine, following her marriage to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, 31. The couple tied the knot at Bath Abbey on Saturday in a ceremony overshadowed by a bitter feud that led to the groom's family being largely excluded from the day.
A Cloaked Entrance and a Designer Secret
Arriving at the historic abbey on the arm of her father, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, Holly kept her gown completely concealed beneath a billowing ivory satin cloak. She later donned the cover-up again for photographs outside with her new husband. The only hint of the dress was a high, lace neckline visible at the collar.
The dress was reportedly designed by family friend and fashion icon Victoria Beckham. HELLO! magazine's Beauty Editor, Laura Sutcliffe, noted that Beckham's recent collections have featured more lace 'accents', with the wedding dress boasting delicate 'meshwork at the neckline'.
Holly is believed to have worn two dresses on her big day: the Victoria Beckham creation for the abbey service, and a sentimental change for the reception. For the latter, she wore the gown her mother, Tana, wore when she married Gordon Ramsay back in 1996. The mother-daughter duo also coordinated their footwear, both wearing Amina Muaddi slingback lace heels.
Family Rift Overshadows Celebrations
The lavish wedding was marred by the very public fallout between Adam Peaty and his parents, Caroline and Mark. Aside from his sister Bethany, who served as a bridesmaid, the Peaty family were not in attendance. Adam's mother, Caroline, told the Daily Mail she was 'beside herself' with grief at missing her son's wedding.
Reports suggest Adam's father, Mark, was asked to attend but told he would have to sit 'at the back behind the plus ones'. In a poignant act, Adam has since changed his name on social media to Adam Ramsay Peaty, a significant statement about his future family ties, mirroring a move made by his friend Brooklyn Beckham.
The roots of the conflict are said to stem from an engagement party last September, which is also set to feature in Gordon Ramsay's upcoming Netflix series, Being Gordon Ramsay. Adam's mother has reportedly written to Netflix to state the family did not consent to being filmed at the event, though the Ramsays' spokesman said filming notices were clearly displayed.
Celebrity Guests and Security Scramble
Despite the family drama, the ceremony proceeded with a star-studded guest list. David and Victoria Beckham attended, though their son Brooklyn—a childhood friend of Holly's—did not, amid his own reported family tensions. Other guests included TV presenter Dan Walker and Dragon's Den star Sara Davies, both friends of Adam from his Strictly Come Dancing days.
Security was tight, with guards forming a protective ring around the bridal party. Guests were required to wear mandatory wristbands, and one onlooker described the scenes outside the abbey as 'chaotic'. Following the service, the wedding party moved to the reception at the Georgian manor Kin House near Chippenham.
The Vogue feature marks a coup for the couple, who are an unconventional choice for the publication typically reserved for Hollywood A-listers and royalty. They follow in the footsteps of Holly's friends Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz, whose 2022 wedding was also featured in the magazine. A source revealed: 'Holly has always wanted to do Vogue so this is a coup.'
