Public relations mogul Roxy Jacenko has demonstrated that her passion for luxury fashion is a family affair, with her teenage daughter Pixie Curtis eagerly following in her stylish footsteps.
A Text Message Offering
The 45-year-old businesswoman took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday to share a candid text conversation with her 14-year-old daughter. In the exchange, Jacenko informed Pixie she was planning to sell a Mini Dior handbag but was giving her the right of first refusal.
"Selling this mini Dior, unless you want it, Pixie," Roxy wrote. Her daughter's immediate and succinct reply was: "I keep please. Merci." Mini Dior handbags typically retail from $2,800 to over $7,800.
Loftier Luxe Aspirations
Roxy then elaborated to her daughter that while the bag was perfect for someone Pixie's age, she was keen to offload it due to her own more elevated preferences in accessories. "It's nice and very popular, but I prefer Birkin and Kelly," she wrote, name-checking the two iconic, ultra-exclusive handbags from French fashion house Hermès.
Pixie wholeheartedly agreed with her mother's sentiment, responding with a hearty "Me too," which prompted a laughing "hahahahaha" from Roxy.
The scale of their shared taste is staggering. Hermès Kelly bags generally range from $28,000 to $58,000, with rare models exceeding $100,000. The iconic Birkin follows a similar pattern, with exclusive pieces selling for between $200,000 and $300,000.
A Million-Dollar Collection
This is a market Roxy knows intimately, with her own bag collection estimated to be worth around $1 million. Back in June, she showcased a piece from this collection on social media: a rare Hermès HAC Birkin 50 'Endless Road' Limited Edition. Captioning the photo "one of my faves," she flaunted the item, which retails for between $45,000 and $75,000.
Pixie is no stranger to high-end shopping sprees either. In June, ahead of moving to Switzerland to finish her schooling, she treated herself in Singapore. She shared a snapshot from a trip to Marina Bay Sands, carrying a large bag of boxes from luxury brand Loro Piana, where a simple linen shirt can cost over $2,200.
Another mirror selfie showed the young millionaire laden with shopping spoils, including a large Dior bag and a Hermès bag, captioned simply "Europe prep." Her lavish tastes were previously highlighted in 2022 when a $10,000 Christmas wish list she created went viral online.
