Fallout Season 2 Cast Revealed: Culkin and Theroux Join Prime Video Hit
Fallout Season 2 Cast Adds Culkin and Theroux

The highly anticipated second season of the critically acclaimed series Fallout is finally on the horizon, and Prime Video has unveiled the full roster of talent heading to the post-apocalyptic wasteland. Following a massively successful debut, the show returns with its core cast intact and is bolstered by some major new additions, including a near-unrecognisable Macaulay Culkin.

Who's Returning for the New Vegas Journey?

The principal trio from season one are all confirmed to reprise their roles for the next chapter. Ella Purnell returns as the idealistic Vault-dweller Lucy, while Walton Goggins once again portrays the enigmatic Ghoul, a.k.a. Howard Cooper. Aaron Moten is back as Maximus, the ambitious member of the Brotherhood of Steel.

They will continue their pursuit of Kyle MacLachlan's Hank, Lucy's father, who was last seen fleeing towards New Vegas. Other returning faces include Moises Arias as Lucy's brother Norm, Zach Cherry as Woody Thomas, and Johnny Pemberton as the possibly non-human Thaddeus.

Major New Additions to the Wasteland

The new season introduces several key players, headlined by two significant names. Justin Theroux takes over the role of Robert House, the founder of the New Vegas strip. The character, who originated in the game Fallout: New Vegas, was briefly glimpsed in season one's finale and is set for a much expanded role, appearing both pre-war and in his post-apocalyptic digital form.

In one of the most intriguing pieces of casting news, Macaulay Culkin is confirmed to feature in an as-yet-unnamed role. Described in reports as a 'mad genius-like' character, a first-look image shows the former Home Alone star looking strikingly different. Fan speculation strongly suggests he may be playing a member of the brutal Caesar's Legion faction.

Furthermore, Kumail Nanjiani (Eternals, Silicon Valley) is also set to appear in a role seemingly connected to the Brotherhood of Steel, though specific details remain under wraps.

A Certified Hit Returns

The live-action adaptation of the bestselling video game franchise proved to be a smash hit for Prime Video. The debut season earned an impressive 91% critics' rating on Rotten Tomatoes and was so popular that one of its characters was later added into the online game Fallout 76.

Season two will pick up directly after the epic finale of the first season, taking audiences deeper into the irradiated world and specifically to the iconic, neon-lit ruins of New Vegas. All episodes of Fallout Season 2 will begin streaming exclusively on Prime Video from 17 December.
