The unmistakable Gallagher swagger was on full display in Milan this Friday, as Liam Gallagher's sons, Lennon and Gene, commanded attention at the prestigious Brunello Cucinelli Presentation during Milan Fashion Week.
A Family Resemblance in Fashion
The brothers, aged 26 and 24 respectively, were the spitting image of their Oasis legend father as they posed for photographers. Lennon Gallagher cut a sharp figure in a heavy-duty, oversized maroon leather jacket with a shearling collar, layered over a black turtleneck. He paired the statement jacket with crisp white tailored trousers and black shoes, finishing the look with classic aviator sunglasses.
Meanwhile, Gene Gallagher paid direct homage to his dad's iconic 90s style, sporting a modern mullet haircut. He looked equally fashionable in a suede brown jacket, coordinating with his brother by also wearing a pair of white trousers.
Following in Rock 'n' Roll Footsteps
While their fashion sense echoes Liam's, Gene is also carving his own path in music, truly walking in his "old man's shoes." He is the frontman of the emerging indie rock band Villanelle. The four-piece, consisting of Gallagher on vocals and guitar, Ben Taylor on guitar, Jack Schiavo on bass, and Andrew Richmond on drums, released their debut single, 'Hinge', in September.
Gene described the track as being "about paranoia derived from sleepless nights," quipping, "I was probably hungover when I wrote it." The band's sound is a fusion of their diverse influences, meeting in a centre ground of grunge, shoegaze, punk, and alternative rock.
Family Support for New Musical Ventures
Gene's musical endeavours have strong family backing. Last month, he took to the stage with Villanelle for an intimate show at The Lexington on Pentonville Road in London. While Liam wasn't in attendance, Gene was supported by his brother Lennon and his rarely seen cousins—Sonny and Anaïs Gallagher, the children of his uncle, Noel Gallagher.
Sonny, 15, shared footage from the lively gig, while Anaïs, 25, posted her own clip with the caption: "This is my cousin and he’s a legend." A proud Lennon also shared a message online, writing, "My heart bleeds for you, I'm so so so proud of you."
The brothers were also fortunate enough to support their father Liam on his 2024 solo tour, further cementing the family's deep-rooted connection to the stage. With their fashion-forward appearance and burgeoning music career, the next generation of Gallaghers is undoubtedly making its mark.
