The severe financial difficulties facing Jesse Wood following his divorce from broadcaster Fearne Cotton have been laid bare in newly revealed company accounts, showing debts exceeding £100,000.
Court Appearance Reveals Candid Struggles
The 49-year-old musician, who is the son of Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood, appeared in court this week on a speeding charge. During the hearing, he provided a stark picture of his current circumstances. Jesse admitted to magistrates that he is currently living on barely £1,000 a month and has been struggling to find steady work since the breakdown of his decade-long marriage two years ago.
"I was due to be employed in 2024 but it got delayed," he explained after pleading guilty to speeding on the A4 in West London. "At the moment I'm living off my savings and I am looking to get employment." His most recent tax return showed an annual income of only around £14,000.
Company Accounts Show Mounting Debts
While his court statements hinted at hardship, the full scale of his money woes is now clear from the accounts of his business, Rekognition Sound Limited. Jesse is the sole director and shareholder of the company, which finds itself deeply in the red.
The most recent accounts, covering the year to the end of November 2024, show the company has liabilities exceeding its assets by £101,562. This represents a sharp deterioration from the previous year's deficit of £56,211. The firm's bank accounts hold just £10,943, while it owes a total of £111,903 to creditors, including £37,352 in bank loans.
His other business interests have also faltered. He stood down as a director of Reef Band LLP in October 2025, and had previously resigned from Tribe Festivals in 2002.
No Property Safety Net Amid New Relationship
Despite his famous rock-and-roll lineage, Jesse appears to have no property to fall back on. The former marital home in Richmond, south-west London, is registered solely in Fearne Cotton's name. She purchased the house, now valued at around £3.15 million, in 2014, meaning Jesse has no legal claim to it.
The former couple share two children: 12-year-old son Rex and nine-year-old daughter Honey. The divorce was his second, following a previous marriage to Katherine 'Tilly' Boone, with whom he also has two adult children.
Jesse has since moved on romantically and is now in a relationship with former Made In Chelsea actress and model Gemma Gregory, 39. The couple recently celebrated their first anniversary together. Gemma shared intimate snaps online, writing: "Winter loving. Celebrating one year of love, a year of sobriety and a year of growth."
This new chapter contrasts with the financial reality. The court handed Jesse a six-month driving ban and ordered him to pay £255 in fines after his vehicle was caught doing 27mph in a 20mph zone. He already had nine penalty points on his licence.
His father, Ronnie Wood, is estimated to be worth £100 million and lives in a £3 million townhouse in Richmond. Jesse, however, has carved out his own career as a guitarist, working with bands like Reef and on various music projects behind the scenes. The recent financial revelations highlight the stark difference in their fortunes following his split from Fearne Cotton.
