Thanksgiving Morning Turns Violent as Ray J Faces Felony Charges

R&B singer Ray J, real name Willie Norwood, was arrested on Thanksgiving morning following a disturbing domestic incident where he allegedly threatened his ex-wife Princess Love with a loaded handgun. The 44-year-old was taken into custody by Los Angeles Police Department officers at approximately 4:08am after responding to a domestic disturbance call at a Porter Ranch residence.

According to law enforcement sources, the situation escalated when Ray J appeared on a Twitch livestream ranting about having "the worst Thanksgiving" of his life. During the broadcast, viewers witnessed the singer reach for a handgun, appear to load it, and make statements interpreted as violent threats. He allegedly warned that if anyone approached his door, he would "blow" them away.

Princess Love's Emotional Response

Princess Love, 41, later addressed the terrifying ordeal in an emotional Instagram video that has since been deleted. The mother of two didn't hold back as she accused her ex-husband of "abusing and terrorising women" while pleading with him to seek professional help.

In the video captioned "Enough is enough," Love began by emphasising her dedication to their children: "I love my kids. And I would never do anything to put them in danger, including leaving them with a man who's waving a gun around."

The model and businesswoman detailed her solo parenting efforts, stating: "I'm the best mother, and I do it alone. I take my kids to school alone. I go to parent-teacher conferences alone. I put them to bed alone, while you're out here running around the world terrorising women and abusing women."

Shocking Allegations and Past Incidents

Princess Love claimed the gun incident occurred because she was attempting to leave Ray J's home with their children after agreeing to spend Thanksgiving together so he could see them. She revealed even more disturbing allegations about past behaviour, including that their children once walked in on him naked with another woman in his bed.

"With me present, because the last time I left them with you, they found you naked in a bed with a woman," she stated in the video. "And when I tried to ask you about it, you told me to f**k myself and that I don't run s**t over there."

During the livestream confrontation, Princess Love, who was holding their six-year-old daughter Melody at the time, directly accused Ray J of pointing the weapon at her. Audio from the stream captures their exchange:

"Ray, you just pointed a gun at us," she said.

"I didn't point nothing at y'all!" he responded.

The situation intensified further when a man identified as Princess Love's cousin's husband entered the home, prompting additional threats from Ray J, who allegedly stated he would shoot the man.

Legal Consequences and Ongoing Turmoil

Court records show Ray J was booked on a felony charge of making criminal threats, specifically described as "terrorising causing fear" under California penal code. This charge applies when someone makes a criminal threat that causes victims to fear immediate and serious bodily harm or death.

After being held in an LA jail on $50,000 bail for several hours, the singer was released. His manager told media outlets that he immediately went to retrieve his client after receiving the call about the arrest.

The couple, who married in 2016 at The Cathedral Of St. Vibiana in Los Angeles, share two children: six-year-old daughter Melody and five-year-old son Epik. Their relationship has been tumultuous, with multiple divorce filings and reconciliations throughout their marriage. Princess Love most recently petitioned to end the marriage last year.

In her emotional statement, Princess Love concluded with a plea for Ray J to address his issues: "Do better, check yourself into rehab, because you're more than drunk... I'm gonna continue to pray for you and pray that you get the help that you need. Because waving a gun around and leaving guns everywhere around your house is not OK."

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for both Ray J and Princess Love regarding the video but has not yet received responses.
