Bullseye's Baffling Moment: Contestant Forgets the Question

The revival of the classic gameshow Bullseye on ITV delivered a moment of pure comedy gold this Sunday, leaving its new host, Freddie Flintoff, completely bewildered. During the quiz segment, a simple question about a popular soap opera led to an unexpected and hilarious blunder from a contestant.

The Coronation Street Confusion

In an exclusive clip from the episode, Freddie posed a question to the competing pairs: "The winner of Celebrity Big Brother in 2025, Jack P Shepherd, is a star of what soap?" Contestant Scott incorrectly guessed EastEnders, prompting Freddie to move the question along to the other players, Brian and Stuart.

Brian was quick to hit his buzzer, but instead of an answer, he delivered a line that sent the studio audience into hysterics. He turned to Freddie and asked, "What was the question?" A visibly confused Flintoff could only manage a stunned "Hey?" in response.

Fortunately, the moment of forgetfulness was short-lived. Brian quickly recovered his composure, remembered the query, and correctly identified the soap as Coronation Street.

Bullseye's Successful Return to Television

This amusing incident comes as Bullseye continues its successful new series on ITV, which includes a confirmed 2025 Christmas special. The show's comeback follows a one-off festive special last year that proved immensely popular, drawing in an audience of over 8.6 million viewers.

The programme, which originally aired from 1982 until 1995 under the stewardship of the late Jim Bowen, has been given a new lease on life with Freddie Flintoff at the helm. In a charming personal detail, the show notes that the 47-year-old former England cricket icon does not use his real name. His birth name is Andrew, but he has been known as Freddie since his school days due to the similarity of his surname to the cartoon character Fred Flintstone.

Bullseye airs Sundays at 8pm on ITV1.
