Stars of Coronation Street have issued a chilling warning that no character is safe in the upcoming explosive crossover event with rival soap Emmerdale. Dubbed 'Corriedale', the special episode is set to air next month and promises to leave lives hanging in the balance.

In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, actresses Vicky Myers and Sydney Martin, who play Detective Lisa Swain and her daughter Betsy Swain respectively, teased the monumental scale of the crossover. They confirmed the episode will feature a major stunt with far-reaching consequences for the characters involved.
"It's a real pushing factor," Sydney Martin stated when asked about the episode's impact. Vicky Myers elaborated, hinting at a narrative reset: "Things will come to an end, and then there'll be things that start from it. The branches of life will continue."
Cast in the Dark and Fan Theories
Both actresses admitted they were as surprised as viewers by the recent trailer release. Myers also revealed she deliberately avoided reading spoilers for scenes outside her own to preserve the surprise. "I didn't want to spoil it. I'm really excited," she explained.
The stars also addressed fervent fan speculation, particularly from 'Swarla' shippers who believed a hidden hand in the promo hinted at a potential proposal between Lisa Swain and Carla Connor. "That wasn't purposely done!" Myers laughed. Martin praised the fans' detective work, calling it a sign of deep investment in the show.
Filming with the Emmerdale Family
Vicky Myers expressed her thrill at working with the Emmerdale cast, singling out actor Danny Miller. The pair were the first cast members officially announced for the crossover. "I've known Danny for quite a while," shared Myers. "It's great to see him at work and being his character."
