New mother Nikki Sanderson, 42, delighted fans by sharing a sweet clip of her partner Anthony Quinlan, 41, cradling their newborn son while watching his beloved Manchester United on Sunday. The Coronation Street star revealed on April 25 that the couple had welcomed their first child, who arrived a few days before his due date.
Celebrating a Victory
Taking to her Stories, Sanderson posted a video showing the Emmerdale actor lovingly celebrating with their baby boy following Manchester United's 3-2 win over Liverpool. Quinlan gazed adoringly at his son, whose name has not been made public, as cheers from the match could be heard in the background.
The couple expressed that all their dreams have come true as they brought their baby son home from the hospital. Last week, Quinlan shared a photo on Instagram of himself carrying the newborn out of the hospital in a car seat, captioning it: 'The most special day! The smallest passenger, carrying the biggest piece of our hearts. He has no idea yet... but he's already made all our dreams come true!'
Fellow Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn wrote, 'So happy for you both,' while Gemma Atkinson added, 'I'm SO happy for you both Quinny!'
Hello World
On Saturday, Sanderson posted a picture of their son on Instagram with the words, 'Hello world.' She captioned the snap: 'Happy due date little man. You blessed our lives a few days earlier than expected and filled our world with so much joy. Daddy and Mummy love you so much Son.'
Famous friends flooded the comments with congratulations, including Denise Welch who wrote, 'Nikki!!! Omg!! You're a mummy. We're so happy for you both xxx.'
Gender Reveal and Pregnancy Journey
After finding out the gender of her child last month, Sanderson said: 'Anthony and I always said that we didn't mind what we were having as long as our baby is healthy. There was no, "I'd love this or that" - we were just over the moon. But subconsciously, I always felt like I was going to be a boy mum and my family said the same. I just kept envisioning a baby boy in my arms.'
She added in an interview with Closer: 'Anthony's thrilled because he's going to have a mini Manchester United sidekick!'
During her pregnancy, Sanderson shared that she craved sweet food, experienced morning sickness, carried low, and had the 'pregnancy glow.' Speaking to The Mirror, she said the couple are 'over the moon' about their pregnancy journey, describing it as 'a lovely little spring baby.'
Anthony's Excitement
Quinlan, who previously starred in Hollyoaks and Emmerdale and now runs an online PT and supplements business, expressed his excitement: 'I can't wait till we're a little team of three. I want to shout it from the rooftops!'
The loved-up pair have been dating since the start of 2022, with Quinlan publicly announcing their partnership in April, confessing he was 'really, really happy.' Speaking about their relationship in 2022 to The Sun, he admitted: 'I've always fancied her. She's mega hot, right? We've known each other for years... There were rumours we met at the gym, which we had a bit of a laugh about. I slid into the DMs and that was it. I was lucky enough to get a date and the rest is history. All I can say is I'm really, really happy and she's a very special girl. She's lovely.'
