This new series, drawing on John le Carré's characters, sees Pine infiltrating the operation of a new threat: Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos, played by Diego Calva. With help from the reluctant businesswoman Roxana Bolaños (Camila Morrone), Pine is deep undercover in Colombia, attempting to expose a plot to arm a guerrilla army and destabilise a nation.
The latest episode delivered a major shock as Olivia Colman's character, intelligence chief Angela Burr, was forced to falsely confirm Roper's death after threats to her family. This followed the stunning return of Hugh Laurie's Roper in episode three.
