Jeremy Clarkson Launches 'Still Breathing' Firm After NHS Hospital Stay
Clarkson's 'Still Breathing' firm after NHS care

Television presenter Jeremy Clarkson has embarked on a significant new business venture, just weeks after a serious health scare that required urgent medical attention from the NHS.

A New Venture Amid Health Recovery

The 65-year-old star of the popular series Clarkson's Farm has officially registered a new company named Still Breathing. This move comes shortly after he was admitted to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital for what he described as "Defcon 1 painful" treatment.

According to documents filed at Companies House, the new enterprise was registered on October 22. The nature of the business is currently listed as "security dealing on own account", though specific details of its operations remain unclear. The company's name appears to be a poignant nod to his recent health struggles.

The Painful Hospital Episode

Jeremy Clarkson's hospital visit occurred under dramatic circumstances. In his column for The Sunday Times, he revealed the severity of the procedure, stating that the medical team had to "peel me off the ceiling with a spatula afterwards".

He was forced to stay overnight but confirmed the treatment was successful. Clarkson was notably private about the exact medical issue, telling readers, "I'm not going to tell you what was wrong, because that's none of your business."

This recent incident follows a major health event from the previous year, where the former Top Gear host underwent emergency heart surgery. He reported symptoms including feeling "clammy", experiencing "tightness in his chest", and having "pins and needles" in his left arm. This led to a procedure where two stents were fitted to reopen blocked arteries.

Health Issues on Holiday

The presenter's health concerns first became apparent while he was holidaying in the Indian Ocean. He described having to "take a moment to make sure my limbs were working properly" upon standing up and found simple activities like swimming and climbing stairs increasingly difficult.

Remarkably, Clarkson's recent critical comments about the NHS came just hours before his emergency admission. He had previously referred to the National Health Service as a "creaking monster". However, following his treatment, he publicly commended the care he received from the health service.

Fans of the presenter can look forward to the return of his hit Amazon Prime show, Clarkson's Farm, which is confirmed for a fifth season next year.
