Beckhams Unite for Victoria's GAP Launch Without Brooklyn
Beckhams Back Victoria at GAP Event, Brooklyn Absent

The Beckhams presented a united front as Victoria Beckham launched her new GAP range in New York, with David, daughter Harper (14), son Cruz (21), and his girlfriend Jackie Apost (30) in attendance. However, as expected, eldest son Brooklyn was notably absent.

A Family Affair in New York

The 52-year-old fashion designer celebrated her multi-season collaboration with the nostalgic high-street giant, which originally opened in Britain in 1987 and closed its last UK store in September 2021. Currently, GAP operates four shop-in-shop concepts within Next stores, including locations on Oxford Street in London, Glasgow, and the Trafford and Arndale shopping centres in Manchester.

Victoria took to Instagram to share snaps from the event, captioning the post: "What an incredible night celebrating the launch of @gap x Victoria Beckham! Thank you to the amazing teams who helped us bring this collaboration to life and to my friends and family for coming to celebrate with us in NYC xx."

Nostalgia and Collaboration

In an interview with Vogue, Victoria expressed her fondness for the brand: "I remember shopping at Gap with my mum when I was really young. It felt so new and so fresh, there was nothing like it in the UK. I'm so proud of what we have created together. It really is the perfect marriage of the two brands."

Addressing Family Tensions

The event comes amid a family feud following a scathing social media post by Brooklyn, in which he criticised the family. In a rare TV interview on Tuesday, Victoria addressed the 'challenging' year, telling hosts on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle: "We always put our children first. We love our children so much and have always really focused on protecting our children, but we laugh a lot. David Beckham is really, super funny."

She continued: "You know, myself and David, we're so close and we have incredible people around us. We're close to my parents and David's parents. We support each other through everything that we do. We've grown together. And that's where I feel so blessed."

Victoria also revealed a shift in perspective with age: "You genuinely care less about what people think. You accept who you are, you embrace who you are. You make the best of what you've got."

Brooklyn's Outburst

Brooklyn's earlier post read: "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into."

Despite the rift, the Beckhams remain focused on supporting each other, with David and Victoria presenting a united front at the New York launch.
