Coleen Nolan's Grandson Cruz Makes Heartwarming TV Debut on Loose Women
Coleen Nolan radiated grandmotherly pride as her adorable grandson Cruz made his television debut on Tuesday's episode of Loose Women. The 60-year-old presenter beamed with joy while introducing the three-month-old infant to viewers during her latest appearance on the popular ITV daytime show.
Family Celebration Amid Health Concerns
During the broadcast, Coleen's son Shane brought little Cruz onto the set, creating a delightful moment for The Nolans star. This heartwarming appearance came just weeks after Coleen revealed her grandson had been rushed to A&E in a frightening hospital emergency.
Coleen shared the terrifying ordeal with her fellow co-stars, explaining how the flu had recently impacted her family. She recounted: 'My son only in the last couple of days, it's [flu] hit him and he had a temperature of 102. Because they have Cruz, who is only five weeks old, his temperature started to go up so they rushed him to A&E and then all of a sudden it starts to become a reality.'
Family Background and Recent Developments
Coleen's son Shane welcomed his first child with partner Kim in November. Cruz-Carter was born on November 13, 2025, and Shane has been in a relationship with Kim since 2024. Both parents have children from previous relationships, making Cruz's arrival a special addition to their blended family.
The television star continued describing the hospital experience: 'Kim, Shane's partner, she was saying at A&E, it was just packed out with people that were there with the flu.' Coleen confessed that this frightening incident made the flu threat feel much more real and immediate.
Coleen's Personal Health Transformation
Beyond the family news, Coleen has been captivating Loose Women viewers with her remarkable physical transformation after embarking on a serious weight loss journey. The presenter previously opened up about receiving a significant health wake-up call in 2024 when doctors informed her she was pre-diabetic.
This concerning diagnosis came after Coleen suffered from a severe chest infection. As reported by the NHS, type 2 diabetes can lead to several dangerous complications including kidney problems and coronary heart disease, making early intervention crucial.
Commitment to Health and Wellness
Coleen explained her motivation for change in The Mirror: 'It's been a wake-up call to say, "OK, fatty, you've had enough snacks, step away from the fridge!" My new diet is a work in progress and I'm still getting used to reading labels to check sugar content. But I've cut out all unhealthy snacks like chocolate and crisps.'
The television personality is utilizing a comprehensive weight loss program that combines professional coaching with medically supervised weight loss injections. She elaborated in a Facebook advertisement for the company: 'I'm 60 now and I have tried everything. I'm pre-diabetic. I don't want to wait until I'm type 2. I want to now, for my grandkids, try and be as healthy for as long as I can.'
Expanding Family and Personal Milestones
Coleen is also a proud mother to Ciara Fensome, who welcomed her son Sidney Ray in October this year. She shares her daughter with ex-partner Ray Fensome, making her a grandmother to multiple grandchildren.
The Loose Women panel discussed various topics during the episode, including whether the nation takes influenza seriously enough. Coleen's personal experience with her grandson's health scare added significant weight to this important conversation about public health awareness.
