Livvy Dunne Excels in Baywatch Reboot with Brooks Nader

Livvy Dunne appears to be settling seamlessly into her inaugural major acting role, as the former LSU gymnast was captured enjoying a playful beach session with Brooks Nader. The duo, both standout recruits for the upcoming Baywatch reboot, were seen relishing their time during filming on a Los Angeles beach this Tuesday.

From Gymnastics to Acting: Dunne's New Career Path

Dunne, aged 23, recently disclosed that she had been undertaking acting lessons prior to securing her first significant role in the remake of the iconic 1990s television series. According to reports from Page Six, Dunne and Nader were engaged in 'ocean training' at Venice Beach in preparation for the commencement of filming.

Mastering the Iconic Baywatch Moves

The pair were photographed perfecting their slow-motion runs into the water and are reportedly collaborating with trained lifeguards to hone techniques essential for their roles. A source close to the production commented, 'They’re really excited to be working together,' noting that Dunne and Nader, who are acquainted from previous Sports Illustrated shoots, are bringing vibrant energy to the set.

Dunne is portraying a junior lifeguard in the new series, while Nader takes on one of the lead characters. Their on-set camaraderie was evident as they laughed and joked in the sunshine while learning the ropes, suggesting a close friendship is blossoming.

Dunne's Passion for Acting and Future Aspirations

Earlier in March, Dunne expressed her enthusiasm for embarking on an acting career. She stated, 'It's something I've been passionate about for quite some time. I was interested in doing that at LSU, but sports are your top priority when you're a student-athlete at school. And now that I'm done with school, I have more time to lean into the acting stuff and the creative side of things.'

She further reflected on the rewards of hard work, whether in gymnastics or acting, emphasizing the satisfaction of seeing efforts culminate in success, be it individually or as part of a group.

Balancing Personal Life and Professional Commitments

Dunne's time in Los Angeles coincides with her boyfriend, baseball star Paul Skenes, representing the United States in the World Baseball Classic, where he has bolstered his reputation as a top pitcher. Skenes delivered an impressive performance in the USA's semifinal victory over the Dominican Republic, with Dunne cheering from the stands.

Although Skenes was in the dugout for the final against Venezuela, he is slated to start for the Pittsburgh Pirates in their MLB season opener next Thursday against the Mets in New York. Dunne has expressed her intention to support him at his games, telling the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview before the Super Bowl, 'I'll try to make all of his starts, that's my goal this year.'

This new chapter marks a significant transition for Dunne, from a champion gymnast to an aspiring actress, as she embraces the challenges and excitement of the Baywatch reboot alongside Brooks Nader.
