Rita Ora and Taika Waititi Enjoy Australian Beach Day Amid Fashion and F1 Engagements
Rita Ora and Taika Waititi Beach Day in Australia

Rita Ora displayed her sensational physique while enjoying a beach day with her husband, filmmaker Taika Waititi, in Australia on Monday. The 35-year-old singer, known for hits like "Hot Right Now," flaunted her envy-inducing abs as she walked barefoot along the shore with the 50-year-old New Zealand-born director.

Edgy Beach Style

Demonstrating her signature edgy fashion sense, Rita wore a simple triangle bikini adorned with studs, paired with bright yellow shorts and a stylish bandana. Seemingly fresh from a dip in the ocean, she draped a towel over her shoulder and completed the look with chic cat-eye sunglasses.

Taika Waititi complemented his wife's ensemble with bold shorts, a vintage-style t-shirt, and a baseball cap. The couple, who married in a secret ceremony in August 2022, appeared relaxed and coordinated during their seaside outing.

Fashion World Darling

Rita Ora is widely regarded as a sweetheart of the fashion world, celebrated for her distinctive style. Her off-duty beach attire highlighted the edgier side of her fashion persona, with the bandana keeping her hair in place as she went barefoot on the sand.

High-Profile Australian Engagements

The couple's beach appearance follows Rita's arrival at Sydney Airport on Sunday. She is in Australia for two significant events: presenting an award at the Vogue Forces of Fashion event in Sydney and performing at the Formula 1 Grand Prix 2026 in Melbourne this March.

Insights into Family Life

In a recent interview, Rita opened up about her role as a stepmother to Taika's two daughters from his previous marriage. She described the experience as a "real eye-opener" that has broadened her perspective on life.

"It's really easy," she told The Sun. "We wake up, we work out together with the kids running on the treadmills, it's a family affair. I've realised there's so much more to life than what you care about in that moment."

Strong Foundation of Friendship

Rita credited the couple's strong friendship as the cornerstone of their romantic relationship. "Taika and I are basically just best friends and we wanted to just live in that element forever," she explained. The pair were close friends for five years before beginning their romantic relationship in March 2021.

After what she described as her "messy twenties" filled with unsuccessful relationships, Rita found that being with Taika felt "right and safe." The couple will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary this August, having "winged" their low-key Los Angeles ceremony with "zero planning" according to Rita.

Film director Taika shares his two children, Te Kāinga o te Hinekāhu, 13, and Matewa Kiritapu, 9, with ex-wife Chelsea Winstanley, from whom he separated in 2018 after seven years of marriage.
