Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Makes Unexpected Appearance in K-Pop Teaser
In a surprising development for entertainment followers, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the 19-year-old daughter of Hollywood icons Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has been spotted in a teaser for K-pop artist Dayoung's upcoming music video. The brief cameo occurs in the nearly 30-second preview for the track What's A Girl To Do, which premiered on Starship Entertainment's official YouTube channel this Thursday.
Open Audition Leads to Music Video Role
The teenager reportedly secured her role through an open audition process held in the United States. A representative from Starship Entertainment confirmed to Maeil Business Newspaper Star that the company conducted auditions to cast performers for Dayoung's project. Among the participants were several dancers affiliated with a crew named Culture, and Shiloh was selected in the final round.
Interestingly, the production team remained unaware of her famous lineage during filming. "Even after filming, we had no idea she was the child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and only found out by chance quite recently," the representative stated, highlighting the merit-based nature of the casting.
Stylish Appearance and Dance Passion
In the teaser, Shiloh appears stylishly casual, wearing a lace cropped top paired with baggy pants. Her hair is partially braided and pulled back, accentuating gold-hooped earrings, with a warm blush and glossy nude lip tint completing her look. The footage shows her casually joining a group of friends in a spacious room, later performing choreography alongside Dayoung and other dancers.
This appearance aligns with Shiloh's known passion for dance. She has been attending classes at the Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, where choreographer Kolanie Marks has praised her dedication. "My style is a lot harder for a lot of people and it's something that she's dedicated herself to trying to figure out," Marks told People in 2024. He emphasized respecting her privacy, focusing solely on her dancing skills and consistency across multiple training sessions.
Family Dynamics and Personal Choices
Despite her foray into the music video, Shiloh's mother has indicated that the teen does not seek the spotlight like her famous parents. During a panel at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival last year, Jolie revealed that her children, including Shiloh, are not interested in acting or celebrity culture. "They really don't like any of the celebrity part of it, especially Shiloh hates it," Jolie said, noting their healthy perspective on fame.
Shiloh's legal name change to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie in August 2024, dropping Pitt from her surname, reflects ongoing family dynamics following Jolie and Pitt's bitter eight-year legal battle, which concluded with a divorce settlement in December 2024. The actress shares six children with Pitt, including Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17.
The full music video for What's A Girl To Do is scheduled for release on April 7, marking a notable moment in both K-pop and celebrity circles as Shiloh continues to pursue her artistic interests away from the traditional Hollywood path.
