X Factor Stars Join Seductive London Musical 'World's Greatest Lover'

X Factor Winners Team Up for Steamy New London Musical

In an exclusive revelation, past X Factor champions Matt Terry and Dalton Harris are joining forces with Union J star Jaymi Hensley for a brand-new theatrical production in London. The show, titled World’s Greatest Lover, is set to debut at The Other Palace this spring, directly following a successful run on Broadway.

A Celebration of Love and Connection

The musical promises to explore themes of love, connection, and the diverse ways people understand romance. It features a pop-rock score that blends massive vocals with big emotional moments, creating an experience that merges the energy of a pop concert with the depth of musical theatre.

Matt Terry, who won X Factor in 2016 and has accumulated over 250 million artist streams, expressed his enthusiasm for the project. "I’ve always been a romantic at heart, so being part of a show that celebrates love feels really special," he said. "The songs are incredible—it’s a funny, sexy, heartfelt show. If you bring a date, you’re definitely setting the bar high for the rest of the evening!"

Star-Studded Cast and Personal Journeys

Jaymi Hensley, known for his role in the boyband Union J and his own X Factor journey, highlighted the show's timing and message. "Being part of this show means a lot to me and couldn’t have come at a better time!" he explained. "It’s all about joy, connection, and bringing people together. The music is exceptional—proper feel-good pop that will lift the whole theatre."

Hensley's participation comes after a personal tragedy, having lost his fiancé, Olly Marmon, in a tragic accident in August 2024. Despite this, he remains committed to the production, seeing it as a source of healing and joy.

Dalton Harris, another X Factor winner from 2018 with a UK No. 1 hit and theatre experience, rounds out the trio. The cast will portray iconic romantic figures like Romeo, Casanova, Cyrano de Bergerac, and the Marquis de Sade, who engage in a humorous and outrageous battle to determine the ultimate lover.

From Broadway to London

Following its New York debut and an acclaimed, award-winning run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2025, World’s Greatest Lover is poised to captivate London audiences. The show runs from 12 April to 7 June 2026 at The Other Palace, with tickets currently available for purchase.

This production not only showcases the talents of these X Factor alumni but also underscores the enduring appeal of musical theatre that combines pop sensibilities with heartfelt storytelling. Fans can expect a glamorous, funny, and emotionally resonant experience that celebrates love in all its forms.
