Hotel Trashed by Party Trio After Nightclub Attack

Three young women have been involved in a destructive rampage at a Bournemouth hotel, marking a continuation of their aggressive behaviour that previously saw two of them assault nightclub staff. Larisa Sumovskaja, 19, Jasmine Orchard, 21, and Kera McKeown, 19, unleashed chaos at the Trouville Hotel on April 19, 2025, leaving staff traumatised and the reception area in disarray.

Hotel Reception Targeted in Violent Outburst

The incident unfolded when the trio descended to the hotel reception at approximately 11:20 am. Staff members, uncertain if the women were guests, challenged them, prompting a hostile response. McKeown, described in court as the main aggressor, retorted with who do you think you're talking to bro? before the situation rapidly deteriorated.

Objects Thrown and Staff Threatened

According to prosecution statements read at Poole Magistrates' Court, the women began shouting accusations, with Sumovskaja holding a fire extinguisher and McKeown brandishing a vodka bottle while threatening to punch a receptionist. The violence escalated as they threw plant pots, pens, computer mice, and overturned a table. In a particularly alarming moment, McKeown picked up the hotel phone and hurled it at a male staff member, striking him on the head.

One terrified receptionist retreated to a back room, locking herself in and calling the police. From there, she watched via CCTV monitors as McKeown systematically trashed the reception area. The prosecutor noted that the women seemed to be quite enjoying themselves, with the entire space left vandalised.

Pattern of Previous Aggression

This hotel incident occurred merely five weeks after Sumovskaja and Orchard were involved in an assault at Bournemouth's Camel Bar. In that August 2024 case, they were ejected for excessive drunkenness, then insulted bar manager Mohammed Saffi about his weight, spat at security guards, and swung handbags. They were ordered to pay £600 compensation and banned from the club for twelve months.

Adding to their notoriety, Sumovskaja bragged on social media about being icons after images circulated online linking them to a suspected assault on a taxi driver in January. This pattern of behaviour underscores a troubling disregard for public order and safety.

Court Proceedings and Sentencing

During the recent hearing, McKeown and Sumovskaja admitted to criminal damage and using or threatening unlawful violence. Sentencing for these two was adjourned until March for reports. Orchard, however, received different treatment after her defence argued she played a minimal role, was drunk and memory-impaired, and had been staying away from alcohol and the other defendants since her previous sentencing.

The court heard Orchard was just being dragged along during the hotel incident. She is already subject to a twelve-month community order for the nightclub offences and has been complying well, attending probation and completing some unpaid work hours. Magistrates gave her a twelve-month conditional discharge for using threatening or abusive behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence, plus £111 in costs.

This case highlights ongoing issues with youth violence and public disturbances in Bournemouth, with local businesses and hospitality workers bearing the brunt of such aggressive acts. The community awaits the final sentencing for Sumovskaja and McKeown, hoping for measures that prevent further incidents.
