Abbie Chatfield Pays Five-Figure Sum to Harrison Boon in Defamation Settlement
Abbie Chatfield Pays Harrison Boon Five-Figure Settlement

Abbie Chatfield has reportedly been compelled to pay Harrison Boon a five-figure sum to resolve the defamation claim brought by the Married At First Sight star. In October, the 35-year-old MAFS veteran launched a GoFundMe campaign to fund his legal expenses, alleging that Abbie had propagated constant lies, slander, and bullying that he claims harmed his business and reputation.

Details of the Settlement

On Wednesday night, Abbie, 30, issued a public apology on social media for her actions toward Harrison. However, insiders reveal that the apology was accompanied by a financial settlement. A source told Daily Mail that Harrison initially demanded $80,000 but ultimately received a sum closer to $10,000, a five-figure amount. Harrison declined to comment when contacted, and representatives for Abbie have been reached for comment.

Abbie's Apology

In her statement, Abbie acknowledged making fake and defamatory statements about Harrison on Instagram on April 26, 2025. She fully withdrew those comments and expressed regret for the harm caused to Harrison and his family. The apology followed Harrison's fundraiser, which he launched in October to pursue defamation action after Abbie labeled him a sexist, alt-right freak, and supporter of fascism and Nazi ideology. Daily Mail does not endorse these allegations and accepts they are false.

Reactions and Legal Costs

Following the apology, MAFS star Dean Wells criticized Abbie for burying her apology among other Instagram Stories, a tactic he claims influencers use to minimize visibility. Harrison responded to Dean's post, stating he was happy with the outcome. The GoFundMe funds covered legal fees, court filing costs, mediation, and expert witness expenses.

This is not Abbie's first defamation case. In October last year, she paid $79,000 in damages to Heath Kelley after consenting to a Federal Court judgment, plus an estimated $30,000 in legal costs, totaling over $100,000. Heath sued after Abbie published defamatory remarks about him on May 7, 2025, which she did not contest.
