Neighbours Star Ryan Maloney Backlash Over SAS Australia Rants

Former Neighbours star Ryan Maloney has faced criticism from viewers following his debut on Seven's SAS Australia v England on Wednesday. The 46-year-old actor, best known for his beloved character Toadie, displayed a starkly different persona in the brutal survival competition, drawing ire for his outbursts.

Ryan Maloney's Heated Exchanges

Ryan received backlash after repeatedly berating his castmates. During an underwater escape challenge, he lashed out at Love Island UK star Dani Dyer, telling her to 'f***ing dial it in' as she showed signs of panic. He continued, 'F***ing concentrate and switch on. Focus on what you're doing.'

Later, Ryan threw a tantrum when fellow contestants failed to keep their water bottles filled. As punishment, Chief Instructor Billy Billingham ordered the group to soak themselves with their canteens. Ryan then scolded the group, 'Fill up your f***ing water bottles first! Use your cups to drink... so you've always got a full f***ing bottle.' When a castmate asked his name, he snapped, 'My name is f***king p***ed off because I've got two things of wet clothes because people haven't filled up their f***ing water bottle.'

Despite the backlash, Ryan expressed determination to complete the course, telling viewers, 'I absolutely want to pass this course, I'm going to pass this course, and the thing I will struggle with the most is if people don't take it seriously enough.'
