NYC Mayor's Wife Accused of Historic Racist and Pro-Terror Social Media Posts
NYC Mayor's Wife in Historic Racist and Pro-Terror Posts Scandal

Rama Duwaji, the 28-year-old wife of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, stands accused of posting deeply offensive content across social media platforms during her late teenage years and early twenties. The Washington Free Beacon reportedly uncovered these posts using facial recognition software, linking them to Duwaji's alleged accounts on Tumblr and X.

Historic Offensive Content Resurfaces

This discovery follows recent headlines about Duwaji liking posts that celebrated Hamas's October 7 attack on Israel, including content dismissing reports of sexual violence as a 'mass rape hoax.' However, the newly revealed material suggests a pattern of controversial online behavior dating back to 2013.

Racial Slur and Controversial Statements

At age 15, Duwaji allegedly used a racial slur in a tweet to a friend, writing: 'Helllll yeah, n****. Super duper genius* excuse you.' Other posts from that same year reportedly blamed 'white people' for creating Al-Qaeda and argued that Israelis should not be permitted to live in Tel Aviv.

Valorization of Palestinian Militants

In 2017, a Tumblr account linked to Duwaji reposted an image of plane hijacker Leila Khaled alongside a quote from the infamous Palestinian militant: 'If it does good for my cause, I'll be happy to accept death.' Khaled is celebrated by terrorist groups as the first woman to hijack a plane after participating in aircraft takeovers in 1969 and 1970.

The account also appeared to praise other members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Khaled's longtime organization. Additional content allegedly reshared by Duwaji included:

  • A post stating Tel Aviv 'shouldn't exist in the first place' and labeling Israelis in the city as 'occupiers'
  • Content blaming white people for constructing, funding, and training Al-Qaeda
  • Criticism of US troops as 'not brave' and 'mercilessly slaughtering third world civilians to maintain American hegemony'

International Women's Day Tribute to Terrorist

In 2015, Duwaji allegedly marked International Women's Day by posting a tribute to PFLP terrorist leader Shadia Abu Ghazaleh, who died in 1968 when a bomb she was building exploded in her home. This content appears to have been deleted from the accounts when searched by the Daily Mail.

Mayor's Response and Previous Controversies

Mayor Mamdani has previously faced questions about his wife's social media activity, particularly regarding her liking of posts supporting the October 7 attack. One such post from leftist group The Slow Factory showed images of people taking over an IDF vehicle with 'Free Palestine' scrawled over it, while another featured a bulldozer used by Hamas to break through into Israel.

Mamdani responded: 'My wife is the love of my life, and she is also a private person who has held no formal position on my campaign or in my City Hall.' However, Duwaji recently posed for a cover feature in The Cut magazine, suggesting she is not entirely private.

A spokesperson for the mayor told Jewish Insider: 'Mayor Mamdani has been clear and consistent: Hamas is a terrorist organization, October 7th was a horrific war crime, and he has condemned that violence unequivocally.'

Broader Political Context

Mamdani himself has faced criticism for using phrases like 'globalize the intifada' and for his ardent support of the Palestinian cause. As New York City's first Muslim mayor, he has been viewed with skepticism by some Jewish New Yorkers. The Daily Mail has reached out to both Rama Duwaji and Mayor Mamdani for comment on the latest allegations.
