Arsenal have pencilled in a trophy parade in Islington on Sunday, May 31, should they secure either the Premier League or Champions League title this season. The celebration is set to take place less than 24 hours after the European final, which pits Arsenal against either Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich.
Parade Timing and Route
If Mikel Arteta's side clinch the Premier League title against Crystal Palace on May 24, fans will need to wait an additional week for the open-top bus parade. The bus is expected to head to Islington Town Hall, with the event commencing either in the morning or at lunchtime.
Two seasons ago, Arsenal's parade plans—for a potential title win over Manchester City—envisioned celebrations starting at the Emirates Stadium. The bus would have travelled along Drayton Park, Aubert Park, Highbury Grove, St Paul's Road, Upper Street, and back to the stadium. However, the route for this year's potential parade has not yet been confirmed, and the event would require a rapid turnaround following the Champions League showpiece.
Logistical Challenges
Mikel Arteta's team will not return to England from Budapest until the early hours of May 31, meaning fans face the same dilemma of racing back home in time for a potential parade. The tight schedule arises from the short window for players to join their national teams for the World Cup.
Thomas Tuchel's England squad are due to meet on Monday, June 1, before flying to the United States. Among those who could be included are Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke, and Ben White.
