King Charles Delivers Historic Speech to US Congress Amid Strained Relations
King Charles Addresses US Congress in Historic Speech

King Charles is delivering a historic speech in front of US Congress during his visit to the United States. The King is expected to use his address to stress the importance of the US-UK relationship.

Charles's speech to both Houses is likely to be seen as acknowledging tensions between President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, who have clashed over the US leader's war against Iran. The speech marks only the second time a British monarch has addressed a joint meeting of Congress, the first being the late Queen Elizabeth II in 1991.

His Majesty is also expected to make a brief reference to the shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner attended by the US president on Saturday night.
