Racing expert Newsboy has pinpointed two standout performers aiming for remarkable four-timers as the focus for Wednesday's action across three UK racecourses.
Newbury Nap Tipped For Cheltenham Path
All eyes at Newbury will be on the Wendigo Wins The Brown Advisory Handicap Hurdle (2.40), where Newsboy's NAP selection, C'Est Different, is fancied to continue his superb run. The progressive six-year-old gelding, trained by Sam Thomas, is being aimed at the Pertemps Final at the Cheltenham Festival, and a victory here would significantly bolster those ambitions.
Since stepping up to longer handicapping trips, C'Est Different has been in irresistible form. He signed off last season with wins at Carlisle and Chepstow and made a stunning return to action just 49 days ago at Market Rasen, slamming Tranquil Sea by eight and a half lengths. Despite the assessor hitting him with a 12lb rise in the weights, Newsboy believes the in-form hurdler can overcome the burden and secure his fourth consecutive victory.
Lingfield's Sprinting Phenomenon
Over at Lingfield Park, the Make The Move To Midnite Handicap (2.30) features Newsboy's next best bet, the mare Gogo Yubari. Trained by the astute Tony Carroll, this five-year-old has been a revelation on the all-weather recently, completing a fantastic hat-trick of wins just last week.
Her latest success was a commanding two-and-a-quarter-length defeat of Sir Rodneyredblood. Remarkably, Carroll is rolling her out again just three days later, undeterred by a substantial 15lb hike in the handicap since her sequence began. Newsboy suggests the mare is "on a roll" and can make it four wins on the bounce, seeing off the challenge of stablemate Hint Of Humour.
