PDC Takes No Action Against Fallon Sherrock's Table Gesture After Defeat
No PDC action for Sherrock's table gesture

The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has confirmed it will take no disciplinary action against Fallon Sherrock following her conduct after a first-round exit at the World Darts Championship on Thursday.

Table antics follow Menzies' meltdown

Sherrock, 31, was defeated 3-0 by Dave Chisnall at Alexandra Palace, missing 20 of her 23 attempts at a double. In a moment that captured attention after the match, she was seen jokingly rocking the same drinks table that her former partner, Cameron Menzies, had punched earlier in the week.

Menzies, a 36-year-old Scot, was left bloodied after striking the table in frustration following his own first-round loss to Charlie Manby. The pair had been in a relationship for four years before splitting amicably earlier in 2025. Sherrock's actions have been widely interpreted as a light-hearted nod to the incident.

PDC stresses player welfare support

PDC chief executive Matt Porter emphasised the organisation's support for players' mental wellbeing in the wake of Menzies' reaction. "Cameron knows there is support available from the PDC and the PDPA [Professional Darts Players Association]," Porter stated. "Our main priority is the player’s health and wellbeing."

Menzies, the 26th seed who led 1-0 and 2-1 before losing 3-2, later released a statement explaining his emotional state. He revealed he had been struggling after the recent death of his uncle, Gary. "I saw him four days before he died, and he gave a look which told me how much he thought of me. He treated me like a son," Menzies said.

He added that had he won, his second-round match would have fallen on the day of his uncle's funeral. "Let me say again, that's no excuse for what I did on the stage. It was the wrong thing to do," he conceded, praising opponent Charlie Manby's performance.

Chisnall advances as first round concludes

Victorious opponent Dave Chisnall acknowledged that his match against Sherrock was closer than the 3-0 scoreline suggested. "That was massive. If she hit her doubles, that would have been very different," Chisnall told Sky Sports. "She scored well. I didn't score well at all. My doubles were quite good."

Chisnall now progresses to face Germany's Ricardo Pietreczko in the second round. The final batch of first-round matches takes place on Friday, featuring seeded players like Josh Rock and Nathan Aspinall.

Rising star Beau Greaves, 21, also begins her campaign on Friday against 22nd seed Daryl Gurney, with the winner set to play Callan Rydz.
