A funeral mass has been conducted in County Cork for Marie Keane, the mother of former Irish footballer and Manchester United captain Roy Keane. The service took place at the Church of the Resurrection in Farranree on Tuesday morning, with Roy Keane and other family members in attendance to honour her memory.

Marie Keane died peacefully at Marymount University Hospice on Friday, surrounded by her loving family. Following her passing, Roy Keane shared a poignant photo of himself with his mother on social media, accompanied by the caption 'you'll always be the boss', reflecting their close bond and her enduring influence.
