Football fans attending the UEFA Champions League final in May will be treated to a spectacular pre-match music performance by the iconic American rock band The Killers. The event, scheduled for May 30 at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary, will feature the group known for hits like "Human" and "Mr. Brightside" as part of the kick-off show presented by Pepsi.
Band Accepts Invitation "Without Hesitation"
The Killers expressed their enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating they accepted the invitation "without hesitation." In a statement released after the announcement, the band said, "When we were asked to perform at the UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show presented by Pepsi, we said yes without hesitation, some stages speak for themselves. We're honoured to celebrate the incredible teams and players at what will undoubtedly be an epic match."

To promote the show, The Killers collaborated with football legend Sir David Beckham in a short film titled "The Race Begins." The film depicts a playful race to the stadium, with Brandon Flowers driving a custom electric blue classic car and Beckham on his motorcycle, symbolising the anticipation leading up to the final.

The Killers join a prestigious list of artists who have performed at the Champions League final pre-match show, including:
- Linkin Park, who played before Paris St Germain's victory last year at the Allianz Arena.
