Tesco's 50p Costa Coffee Pick & Mix Saves Shoppers a Fortune
Tesco's 50p Costa Coffee Pick & Mix Deal Launches

Shoppers at Tesco have discovered a clever new way to enjoy barista-style coffee at home without breaking the bank. The supermarket giant has introduced a 50p 'pick and mix' deal on single-serve Costa Coffee sachets, allowing customers to create their own custom selection of flavours.

A New Way to Enjoy Favourite Flavours

Previously, fans of Costa's instant drinks had to commit to buying a full box containing multiple sachets of the same flavour. This new initiative, spotted in stores and shared on the New Foods UK Facebook page on 13 January 2026, changes the game entirely. Customers can now pick up individual sachets for 50p each, or take advantage of a Clubcard offer where three sachets cost just £1.

The deal includes a wide range of popular options from the core range and the premium 'Barista Collections'. Available flavours include the indulgent Millionaires Mocha, the sweet Salted Caramel Latte, the classic Creamy Cappuccino, and the seasonal Maple Hazel Latte.

Significant Savings for Savvy Shoppers

This new approach represents a notable saving for consumers. A standard pre-bundled six-pack of a single flavour typically retails for £2.55 without a Clubcard. By using the loyalty scheme and mixing three sachets for £1, a shopper could get six different sachets for £2, saving 55p and gaining variety.

More importantly, it allows people to try new flavours without the risk of being stuck with a full box they might not enjoy. For many, the cost per drink will also be significantly lower than purchasing a freshly made beverage from a Costa Coffee branch.

Shopper Reaction and Future Hopes

The reaction on social media has been overwhelmingly positive. One excited shopper commented, "50p? Might have a crack to see what the fuss is about!" Another praised the flexibility, saying, "Great idea. I can try without having a box full of it if I don’t like it."

Many highlighted the potential for savings, with one person noting it "Will probably save me a fortune on buying boxes!" The 'pick and mix' concept was a particular hit, with a fan stating, "How handy, it's like a little pick and mix of all my favourites. Now I don't have to choose just one!"

Shoppers are already requesting an expansion of the scheme. Comments included calls for a standard latte or hot chocolate option, decaffeinated varieties, and hopes that the popular Black Forest flavour might be included in the single-serve selection later in 2026.

In other Tesco news, the supermarket continues to innovate with its shopping experience. Since October 2025, a feature on the Tesco app allows customers to transfer a pre-made shopping list directly to the store's 'Scan as You Go' devices, complete with product locations, aiming to cut down time spent in the aisles.
