Three Men Hospitalised After Police Pursuit Ends in Collision
A terrifying police chase through the streets of Bradford culminated in a serious road traffic collision, leaving three men with injuries in the early hours of Saturday morning. The incident unfolded on the busy Leeds Road shortly after midnight, prompting a major emergency response.
Chase and Collision Details
According to West Yorkshire Police, officers attempted to stop a Volkswagen Golf on Leeds Road at approximately 12:23am. The driver of the Golf failed to comply, initiating a pursuit. Moments later, the fleeing vehicle was involved in a collision with a Skoda.
The impact of the crash was severe enough to trap one occupant in each vehicle. Firefighters from Bradford Fire Station were dispatched with two appliances to conduct a complex extrication operation, cutting the men free from the wreckage.
Injuries and Emergency Response
Three men sustained injuries in the crash. The driver of the Skoda was treated at the hospital for a leg injury. The two male occupants of the Volkswagen Golf were also transported to hospital with injuries described by authorities as non-life-threatening.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed their role, stating: "Two cars were involved with one person trapped in each vehicle. An extrication was carried out by fire service personnel and casualties transferred to hospital by ambulance."

West Yorkshire Police have confirmed that enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the chase and the subsequent collision are ongoing. The investigation is being led by the specialist Roads Policing Unit.
The police statement reiterated the sequence of events: "At 12.23am this morning a vehicle failed to stop for police on Leeds Road in Bradford. The vehicle, a Golf, was then immediately involved in a road collision with a Skoda."
