D4vd Suspect in Grisly Case: Teen's Dismembered Body Found in Tesla
D4vd Suspect After Teen's Dismembered Body Found in Tesla

In a case that has sent shockwaves through Los Angeles, the dismembered body of a 15-year-old girl was discovered in the trunk of a Tesla linked to the singer known as D4vd. The victim, Celeste Rivas, was found beheaded with her limbs severed, and investigators believe her remains had been frozen before being left in the vehicle.

A Gruesome Discovery in the Hollywood Hills

The grim find was made on September 8, 2024, one day after what would have been Celeste's 16th birthday. The Tesla, registered to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, had been parked outside his rental property in the Hollywood Hills for days before being towed to an impound lot.

It was there that workers, alerted by a foul smell emanating from the car, made the horrifying discovery. Upon opening the front trunk, or 'frunk', police found Rivas's remains inside a bag. Sources close to the investigation told TMZ that the body was 'partially frozen' and in the process of thawing at the time it was found.

Investigation Complications and a Second Suspect

The state of the body has presented significant challenges for authorities. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has indicated that the advanced decomposition and dismemberment may prevent them from determining a definitive cause of death. Investigators are now awaiting toxicology reports for further clues.

Adding a new layer to the case, a second suspect has been identified by the Los Angeles Police Department. This revelation came to light during a TMZ podcast, where host Harvey Levin and famed defence attorney Mark Geragos discussed their findings. They reported that multiple sources within the LAPD believe another individual was involved in Rivas's death and likely participated in disposing of the body.

Geragos suggested that police have constructed a remarkably detailed timeline of the crime by piecing together social media posts, cell phone records, and Tesla tracking data. Furthermore, Levin theorised that the car's extensive interior and exterior camera system may have captured footage of the alleged accomplice.

A Suspect Not Cooperating and a Long Wait for Justice

While D4vd, who was on tour in the US at the time the body was discovered, has been named as a suspect, he has not been charged with any crime. According to reports, the 20-year-old singer is allegedly 'not cooperating' with the investigation and has not yet been interviewed by law enforcement.

Celeste Rivas had been reported missing for over a year. She was known to frequently run away from her home in Lake Elsinore, California, and left for the final time in April 2024. As of November 22, no arrests have been made, and the search for answers continues.
