Abusali Rahman, a 36-year-old former supply teacher from Salford, has been charged with multiple child sex offences, including upskirting and voyeurism. The allegations involve 13 girls aged between 13 and 16 across seven high schools in Bury, Bolton, and Salford.
Rahman was arrested in June 2025 after a parent reported an image of their child in school uniform being circulated online, which triggered an upskirting investigation. Efforts are ongoing to identify four more potential victims.
The charges against Rahman include 13 counts of voyeurism, 13 counts of making indecent images of children, and one count of distributing indecent images of children. He appeared at Wigan Magistrates’ Court in April 2026 and has been remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear at Bolton Crown Court in May 2026.
The case has raised serious concerns about safeguarding in schools, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
