A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in North London, the Metropolitan Police has confirmed.
Charges Laid After Teenager's Death
Tsidi Winion, of Handyside Street in Camden, was charged on Monday, 15 December, with murder and possession of an offensive weapon. The charges relate to the death of Adam John Henry, who was attacked on Westbourne Road in Islington.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 13:02 hours on Tuesday, 9 December, following reports of a stabbing. Officers attended alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and the crew of London's Air Ambulance.
Despite the immediate efforts of emergency services, the teenager sustained fatal stab wounds. He was treated at the location before being rushed to hospital, where medical teams fought to save his life. He was pronounced dead later that day.
Family's Heartbreaking Tribute
In a moving statement, Adam's family remembered him as a "loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend". They said his loss was something from which they would "never recover".
The family's tribute painted a picture of a cheerful and loyal boy. "He had many interests and was always there with a smile and cheeky sense of humour. He was good-natured and loyal," they said.
Specialist family liaison officers from the Metropolitan Police are supporting Adam's relatives through this traumatic time.
Investigation Continues as Suspect Appears in Court
Tsidi Winion was remanded in custody after being charged. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance at Willesden Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 16 December.
Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, the senior investigating officer, stated: "Our thoughts remain with Adam's family at this incredibly difficult time. While a man has now been charged, our investigation continues, and we urge anyone with information who has not yet spoken to us to contact police."
The investigation remains active. Police are appealing for any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward to assist the inquiry.
