West Yorkshire Police have initiated a murder investigation following the tragic discovery of an unconscious teenage woman on a street in Leeds. The unidentified female, believed to be in her mid to late teens, was found with severe injuries and later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Arrests Made in Connection with the Incident
Four individuals have been taken into custody on suspicion of murder in relation to this distressing case. The arrests include two 18-year-old women, a 20-year-old man, and a 17-year-old boy, all detained from a nearby address. They remain in police custody as authorities continue their inquiries, with a crime scene established in the area.
Details of the Victim Released
In an effort to identify the young woman, detectives have released a detailed description. She is described as having a slim build, tanned skin, standing approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, with green eyes and brown hair featuring darker roots and blonder ends. Notably, she also has fixed metal braces on both her upper and lower teeth.
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Superintendent Marc Bowes emphasised the complexity of the investigation, stating, "This is an extremely complex investigation where a young woman has sadly lost her life. We are treating her death as murder and have arrested four people in connection with it."

Despite extensive inquiries, the victim's identity remains unknown. Police are urging anyone who may recognise her from the description or who was in the Kennerleigh Avenue area of Austhorpe during the early hours of Saturday morning to come forward. Authorities are particularly interested in reports of any suspicious activity in the vicinity.
Officers were initially called to the scene at 5.55am on Saturday after receiving reports of a young woman found unconscious. She was swiftly transported to hospital for medical treatment but succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter.
