Search Intensifies for Missing NKU Student

Concerns are mounting as authorities continue their search for a missing Northern Kentucky University student. Murry 'Alexis' Foust, aged 22, was last seen on April 27 in the Latonia neighborhood of Covington, according to the Covington Police Department.

'Concerns for their safety have arisen and your input could be crucial,' the department wrote in a social media post. Officials confirmed to WCPO that 'at this time, there is no indication of foul play' in connection with the disappearance.

Surveillance Footage Released

Police released surveillance images showing Foust walking away from the camera at 6pm on April 27, wearing a dark-colored jacket, wide-leg patterned pants, black sneakers, and a mustard yellow backpack. Other photos captured close-ups of the student's face in the Latonia area.

Family and Friends Speak Out

Foust's father told WCPO there have been unconfirmed reported sightings, but no one has heard from the missing student. Foust, a fine arts major in the university's College of Arts and Sciences, is just days away from graduation.

Friends said Foust planned to attend class the day they vanished but never arrived. 'We don't know what happened. They could be in danger,' fellow student Eve Miller told WCPO. She added that Foust's phone was found at home, and their backpack was later discovered on campus.

Despite the uncertainty, Miller remains hopeful. 'The people I'm connected with who are involved in the search are hopeful. They think that they can be found, something can be found that can lead to an answer and a safe resolution.'

University and Police Response

Northern Kentucky University confirmed the disappearance and expressed support for the family. 'We are deeply concerned and our thoughts are with their family, friends and all those impacted,' a spokesperson said, adding that the university is 'fully cooperating' with police.

Multiple resources are being deployed, including drones, water rescue units, and search teams. Fliers have been posted around campus urging anyone with information to contact Covington police.
