Emergency services responded to a tragic drowning incident at the Never Never River in Gleniffer, New South Wales, on Sunday evening, resulting in two fatalities and one hospitalisation.

Police and ambulance crews were called to John Locke Place in Gleniffer, approximately 530 kilometres north of Sydney, at 6.45pm on January 25th. Reports indicated that three individuals in their 30s were swimming in the Never Never River when they encountered difficulties and became submerged underwater.
Details of the Incident
A spokesperson for New South Wales Ambulance confirmed that crews attended the scene following reports of three people being submerged under the water. The woman was retrieved from the river and received immediate treatment at the location before being transported to hospital in a serious condition. According to reports, the woman is pregnant.
The two men were also removed from the water but, despite resuscitation efforts, could not be revived and were pronounced dead at the scene.
