Urgent Manhunt Launched in London Following Death of Elderly Woman
Police have initiated an urgent manhunt after a 71-year-old woman died from what authorities describe as significant injuries in London. The Metropolitan Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward in connection with this tragic incident.
Details of the Incident
Officers were called shortly after 10am on 1 March to reports of a woman seriously injured at a residential address on Bath Road in Hounslow. Upon arrival, they discovered the 71-year-old woman inside the property with severe injuries. Despite the immediate efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her next of kin have been informed and are currently receiving support from specially trained officers. A cordon remains in place around the location as detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have commenced a thorough investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made.
Police Appeal for Information
Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Denby, who is leading the investigation, stated: “This is a tragic incident in which a woman has lost her life. We are working diligently to establish the full circumstances of what happened, and we are keeping an open mind to pursue all lines of inquiry.”
He further urged the public: “We call on anyone who was in the area of Bath Road, who may have seen or heard anything unusual, to come forward. Even small pieces of information can prove vital to our investigation.”
