Strictly Star Chris Robshaw's Wife Camilla Kerslake Shows Severe Face Swelling After CO2 Laser
Camilla Kerslake's Face Swelling After CO2 Laser Treatment

Camilla Kerslake, the wife of former Strictly Come Dancing star Chris Robshaw, has revealed a severely swollen and burnt-looking face after undergoing a complimentary CO2 laser treatment valued at £1,000. The 38-year-old opera singer, who shares sons Wilder, five, and Hunter, two, with the ex-England rugby player, documented her recovery on Instagram.

Painful Procedure and Recovery

Camilla described the pain as 'intense' and said she 'didn't recognise herself' 24 hours after the procedure. Despite assurances that the discomfort would subside, she compared the sensation to 'the worst sunburn of my life.' The treatment, which was gifted to her, was sought to address skin laxity and rosacea following the birth of her second son in 2024.

CO2 lasers work by emitting targeted beams of light to remove the superficial layer of skin, encouraging new skin growth. Camilla shared her experience on Instagram, writing: 'I share my #c02laser recovery journey as a working mother of two. I was struggling with some skin laxity and rosacea after the birth of my second son so I went to see @dr.vaheclinic and he recommended a combination approach which I'll share with everyone. Gifted.'

24 Hours Later

In a subsequent update, Camilla showed that the swelling had reduced, but her face remained red and bloody. She told followers: 'If I don't laugh I'll cry, look at my face. I did expect swelling and redness, but I did not expect this amount of swelling and redness.'

Background and Family Life

In addition to her opera career, Camilla has performed in West End productions such as Les Misérables. She previously revealed plans for a home birth for Hunter, but midwives were delayed by traffic. Chris Robshaw, who participated in last year's Strictly, described the birth as 'dramatic in the middle' but ultimately positive.

Camilla's Comments on Timothée Chalamet

Earlier this year, Camilla criticised actor Timothée Chalamet for comments he made about ballet and opera during a Variety/CNN Town Hall. Chalamet said he didn't want to work in art forms 'where no one cares about this anymore.' Camilla responded: 'People in the ballet and opera world, including myself, have been hurt by his comments. If anything, cinema is the dying art form. People still dress up and go out to the opera and ballet, but increasingly the public would rather stay in watching Netflix than go to the cinema.'
