Candace Cameron Bure Pays Tribute to Bob Saget

Candace Cameron Bure has publicly honoured her late friend and co-star, Bob Saget, on the fourth anniversary of his tragic passing. The actress took to social media to share a poignant message alongside nostalgic photos of the pair.

A Heartfelt Social Media Homage

On Friday, the 49-year-old performer, known for her role as D.J. Tanner, utilised Instagram to remember the beloved comedian. Saget, who played her television father Danny Tanner on the iconic sitcom Full House, died unexpectedly in 2022 at the age of 65.

Bure posted a carousel of images capturing moments from their long friendship, captioning it simply yet powerfully: 'I miss you. Not just today, but every day.' She directly tagged Saget's Instagram account, which has remained inactive since his final post on January 9, 2022—the very day he died.

A Bond Forged on Screen and Beyond

Their professional relationship spanned decades, beginning with ABC's Full House, which aired from 1987 to 1995. They later reunited to reprise their roles for the Netflix sequel series, Fuller House, from 2016 to 2020.

Saget was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando four years ago. Authorities ruled out foul play, with the medical examiner later concluding he had suffered blunt head trauma from an accidental fall. His death came shortly after he had begun a US comedy tour, having enthusiastically posted about a performance online just hours before.

Past Grief and Enduring Legacy

In the immediate aftermath of his passing, Bure expressed profound sorrow online. In one emotional post from 2022, she wrote: 'I don't know what to say. I have no words. Bob was one of the best human beings I've ever known in my life. I loved him so much.'

In another tribute, she lamented the shortness of their 35-year connection: 'I love you sooooo much. I don't want to say goodbye. 35 years wasn't long enough.' She described Saget as the 'glue' that held their television family together, stating her childhood and adult life were deeply intertwined with his presence.

Fellow Full House star John Stamos also commemorated the sombre anniversary. The 62-year-old actor shared a moving reflection on Instagram, writing: 'Missing Bob feels like standing in a quiet room after the laughter stops.' He poignantly added, 'Missing someone is love with nowhere to go,' before concluding, '4 f***ing years. Can’t believe it. I miss you, Bob.'

The ongoing tributes from his former castmates underscore the lasting impact Saget had on those who knew him, both as a comedian and a cherished friend.
