Charlotte Crosby Slams 'Mam Police' Over Edited Baby Plane Photo Backlash
Charlotte Crosby hits back at 'mam police' over plane photo

Reality TV star Charlotte Crosby has launched a fierce defence against so-called 'mam police' on social media, after a humorous photoshopped image of her baby daughter was taken literally by followers.

The Joke That Soared Over Heads

The former Geordie Shore celebrity, who is on a winter holiday in the Maldives with her fiancé Jake Ankers and their two daughters, shared the edited picture while delayed on the runway. The image, posted on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, appeared to show their 11-month-old daughter, Pixi, dangling from a bar near a fire exit sign on the aircraft.

Charlotte later explained the family was simply trying to pass the time during the long wait before take-off. The original photo, which she subsequently shared, clearly showed Jake holding Pixi up to the sign. "I just photoshopped Jake out, we were delayed for ages on the runway and bored!" Crosby wrote to her followers, expressing disbelief that anyone thought the scenario was real.

A Torrent of Unwarranted Criticism

Despite the image being an obvious joke, the Celebrity Big Brother winner was bombarded with critical messages. Social media users branded her "scruffy" and irresponsible, with one particularly angry message questioning how a child could be "mooching off round the plane" and telling Crosby to "get a grip".

After landing in the tropical paradise, a gobsmacked Charlotte addressed the backlash directly. "When I tell you the mam police have been losing their s*** in my inbox!" she exclaimed on her Instagram story. She and Jake later discussed the incident over cocktails, with Jake joking that if Pixi really could scale a plane, they'd "be retired".

Charlotte and Jake's Fiery Response

In a tipsy but defiant video from their Maldives resort, Charlotte challenged her critics. "Anyone that thinks that my 11-month-old daughter scaled a plane and did pull ups on a pole..." she began, before Jake interjected with strong language, urging critics to "check themselves before they wreck themselves."

Charlotte agreed, adding with a laugh, "She's f***ing special but she's not that f***ing special." The couple found the intense reaction both baffling and amusing, with Charlotte noting that the serious message in particular "really made me lol... at how serious they thought I was being."

The incident highlights the intense scrutiny and quick-to-judge culture often faced by celebrities on social media, particularly when it comes to parenting. Charlotte Crosby's decision to clap back has resonated with many followers who understood the intended humour from the start.
