Dani Dyer's Mother's Foot Massage for Jarrod Bowen Horrifies Fans
Dani Dyer has left fans in a state of shock after revealing that her mother, Joanne, regularly gives foot massages to her husband, West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen. The television personality, who married Bowen in an intimate ceremony last May, made the surprising admission during a promotional appearance for her family's TV show, The Dyers' Caravan Park.
Unusual Family Dynamic Exposed on TikTok
During a TikTok video with her father, Danny Dyer, the pair were quizzed about each other's loves and hates by a host from FourNine. When asked about an act of self-care that Joanne provides for Jarrod, both Dani and Danny turned their boards to reveal the same answer: "massage feet." Danny immediately commented on the strangeness of the situation, stating, "This is weird, this, by the way. Because if I was doing the same thing..." to which Dani agreed, "It would be strange!"
Dani went on to explain her mother's reasoning, saying, "She says when he scores a goal it's because she massaged his feet." This explanation did little to quell the horrified reactions from fans, who flooded the comments section with remarks such as, "That is actually really weird," "Sorry but that’s weird coming from the mother in law," and "Bit weird this btw."
Romantic Valentine's Getaway Amidst Controversy
The revelation comes shortly after Dani and Jarrod enjoyed a romantic Valentine's weekend at the luxurious Estelle Manor in Oxfordshire. The couple, who tied the knot last year, spent quality time together on rainy walks around the estate and sipped cocktails in the evening. Rooms at the private members club start from £1,400 per night, offering a child-free retreat for the pair.
Dani looked stunning in a stylish black minidress paired with tights and burgundy stilettos as they headed for dinner. The Love Island winner and the West Ham winger cosied up, holding hands for photos, with Dani simply captioning the moment "Valentines." The couple are proud parents to two-year-old twins Summer and Star, and Dani is also mother to four-year-old son Santiago, whom she shares with her ex-partner Sammy Kimmence.
Dani's Candid Reflections on Motherhood and Confidence
In a recent appearance on Ellis Ranson's Talk In Wardrobe podcast, Dani opened up about her struggles with confidence after her body changed following motherhood. She recalled, "The first year after becoming a mum, I used to torture myself and try and put my old jeans on. In the end my mum was like 'Dan just get rid of them'. It is hard going through that phase because none of your clothes previously fit you."
She continued, "It is trying to find yourself again. I think after you become a mum you drastically change and then you do have to find new looks." Offering advice to other mothers, Dani said, "I think with confidence we do have our ups and downs, don’t we? Especially as a woman, like we only really have a certain cycle of the month where we actually feel normal. We all struggle with confidence."
Heartbreaking Miscarriage Revelation
Last year, Dani heartbreakingly revealed that she suffered a miscarriage before welcoming her son Santiago. Appearing on Jamie Laing's In Great Company Podcast, she shared, "Just before Santi, I got pregnant, and then that didn't work out. Because it didn't work out, I wanted a baby, so I wasn't careful."
She added, "I was like I'm having a baby, and my mum and dad were fuming at the time. So I was nervous to tell my mum, and they were happy with me for the baby, because they knew what I went through. So they were happy for me for that, but they knew that relationship was never going to work. I've said sorry to them so many times for what I've put them through. And I get what they were saying now."
Dani described the miscarriage as "very early" and noted that when she became pregnant again, she had numerous scans due to her anxiety. Speaking about Santi's father, she admitted, "The one [boyfriend] that was just hell. Before Love Island, he never wanted to settle down with me. He was a massive player. I shouldn't have gone back there."
Despite the challenges, Dani expressed no regrets, saying, "I don't regret anything... having Santi changed me as a person, so I'm so glad I had my Sant. I think I had to go through a tricky relationship to get my little boy and to change me as a person, to get to where I am now." She emphasized maintaining civility for Santi's sake, acknowledging, "He is never going to know his mum and dad being together. I always feel guilty because when Jarrod walks through the door, the twins say 'Daddy, daddy,' and Santi doesn't have that."
