Gia Giudice Reveals Father Joe's Life After Deportation and New Restaurant Venture
Gia Giudice on Father Joe's Life After Deportation and New Restaurant

Next Gen NYC star Gia Giudice has provided a heartfelt update on her father, Joe Giudice, six years after his deportation from the United States, offering reassurance to Bravo fans that he is thriving in his new life. In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail in New York City, the 25-year-old reality television personality opened up about her family, the upcoming season of Next Gen, and her exciting new culinary venture in New Jersey.

Joe Giudice's New Life in The Bahamas

Gia revealed that her father, who was deported to Italy following his release from prison for fraud, has since relocated to The Bahamas to be closer to the family. 'Dad's great, he's great,' Gia stated, adding that Joe is actively involved in construction work there. 'Doing construction out in the Bahamas, so he's killing it out there. I'm so happy for him,' she shared, expressing her joy at his positive adjustment.

Despite the distance, Gia and her three sisters—Gabriella, 21, Milania, 20, and Audriana, 16—make it a priority to visit their father several times a year. 'Obviously, we wish every day that one day he's allowed back, but for the time being, we just stay positive,' Gia explained, highlighting the family's hopeful outlook. 'As long as he's doing good and he's happy, that's all that matters.'

Family Dynamics and Reconciliation

The Giudice family has navigated significant changes, including Joe's divorce from ex-wife Teresa, which was finalized in 2020. Teresa has since remarried to Luis Ruelas, but Gia emphasized that her parents maintain a strong and civil relationship. 'They will always be there for each other,' Gia noted, praising their ability to keep the divorce process amicable for the sake of their children. 'I think that is what was a really beautiful thing about my parents and their whole divorce process, it was never ugly. They always kept it civil for us and they still do to this day.'

Gia also touched on the recent reconciliation between her mother, Teresa, and her uncle Joe Gorga, after a prolonged feud. 'I think we really all just let the past go and we realized what's important,' she said, reflecting on the family's renewed harmony.

Advocacy and Future Hopes

In July, Gia made a public appeal on Instagram, urging former President Donald Trump to pardon her father, following similar actions for other public figures. 'You know, I think the biggest thing that we can do right now is just bring awareness to it,' Gia commented on her father's ongoing legal situation. She acknowledged the uniqueness of each case, stating, 'Everybody's case is different. We don't believe that we are more of a priority than anybody else. So, if it happens, it happens. It's in God's hands. And we just pray every day.'

Upcoming Projects and Next Gen NYC Season Two

Fans can look forward to seeing more of Gia's journey in the second season of Bravo's Next Gen NYC, which garnered 5.4 million total viewers across platforms within 35 days of its premiere last summer. The new season will feature Gia alongside other Bravolebrity children, such as Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Brooks Marks and Real Housewives of Atlanta's Ariana Biermann.

'I feel like the relationships and the dynamic between the group has grown so much,' Gia said about the upcoming season. 'We really are all friends. So season one, I think it was a little different because we really didn't know each other that well. We were all getting to know each other but now season two, we all feel comfortable and we definitely dove right in.'

New Restaurant Venture: Il Vero

This season will also document the process of Gia opening her new Italian-fusion restaurant, Il Vero, in Westwood, New Jersey. 'It's going to be like the favorite picks of what we love and what we know everyone will love,' Gia described, hinting at special dishes inspired by her mother Teresa's cookbooks. 'But obviously there's going to be specials from Teresa's cookbooks, and the decor in the restaurant is amazing,' she added, building anticipation for the Spring opening.

Overall, Gia Giudice's update paints a picture of a family moving forward with resilience and positivity, balancing personal challenges with exciting new opportunities in both their personal and professional lives.
