Gillian Anderson has provided a captivating glimpse into her whirlwind 48-hour trip to Paris this week, where she embarked on a glamorous journey with the beauty giant L'Oreal. The 57-year-old actress, renowned for her roles in "The X-Files" and "Sex Education," looked absolutely radiant in a series of stunning photographs captured ahead of elegant evenings out in the French capital.
Elegant Evening Attire in the City of Light
Anderson showcased her impeccable style in chic black dresses that perfectly complemented the Parisian ambiance. One particularly striking gown featured an extravagant gold floral design adorning the front, crafted in a halterneck style with a form-fitting silhouette that accentuated her figure. Her blonde hair was styled in soft, flowing waves, and her ensemble was beautifully complemented by a subtle makeup look, including a delicate pale pink lipgloss that added a touch of sophistication.
In another captivating image, the actress modelled a different black dress with one-shoulder detailing, keyhole accents, and a fashionable peplum cut. She paired this elegant outfit with a pair of strappy heels, completing a look that exuded both glamour and modern flair. These photographs not only highlight Anderson's timeless beauty but also her ability to effortlessly embody high-fashion aesthetics.
A Fascinating Behind-the-Scenes Laboratory Visit
Beyond the evening glamour, Anderson also shared insights from what she humorously referred to as her "field trip" to the L'Oreal Paris laboratories. Dressed appropriately for the occasion in a white lab coat over a black top and trousers, still accessorised with heels, she immersed herself in the pioneering science behind the brand's renowned products.
Alongside photos from the visit, which included snaps with the laboratory team, Anderson expressed her enthusiasm on social media. She wrote, "J’étais une scientifique moquer! What a cool field trip to the L'Oreal Paris labs. It was so much fun to learn all about the pioneering science and innovative formulas that go into their products." She added, "Felt a little red hair vibes if ya know what I mean! Thank you so much to L’Oréal Paris for having me and to all the awesome female (+male!) scientists I had the pleasure of meeting."
Celebrating Co-Star Success at the SAG Awards
This Parisian excursion follows Anderson's recent public support for her "Sex Education" co-star, Aimee Lou Wood. Wood, 31, has received a nomination for Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Drama Series at this year's SAG Awards, recently rebranded as The Actor Awards. Her nomination recognises her portrayal of Chelsea in the third season of HBO's critically acclaimed series "The White Lotus."
Wood initially gained prominence for her breakout role as Aimee Gibbs in Netflix's "Sex Education" in 2019, where she starred alongside Anderson. Celebrating this achievement, Anderson took to Instagram to share a collection of selfies featuring herself and Wood, accompanied by a heartfelt message: "So proud and happy for you @aimeelouwood, congrats on your @actorawards nom!!"
Wood will compete for the award at the ceremony scheduled for March 1 in Los Angeles, where it will be streamed live on Netflix. She faces stiff competition from her "The White Lotus" co-star Parker Posey, as well as Britt Lower from "Severance," Keri Russell from "The Diplomat," and Rhea Seehorn from "Pluribus." The 32nd annual nominations were announced by Abbott Elementary star Janelle James and Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie on Netflix's YouTube Channel, following an introduction by SAG-AFTRA president Sean Astin.
While the host for the 2026 Actor Awards remains unannounced, with Kristen Bell having hosted the previous year, it has been confirmed that Harrison Ford will receive the 2026 SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award. Anderson's dual focus on her luxurious Paris trip and her supportive gesture towards a fellow actress underscores her multifaceted career and personal connections within the entertainment industry.
