Gwyneth Paltrow's Chic Night Out & AFI Awards Reunion with Leonardo DiCaprio
Gwyneth Paltrow reunites with Leonardo DiCaprio at AFI Awards

Gwyneth Paltrow was the picture of casual elegance during a Friday evening outing in Santa Monica, turning heads as she departed the famed celebrity haunt, Giorgio Baldi.

A Casual-Chic Evening Look

The 53-year-old Oscar winner and founder of Goop opted for a relaxed yet sophisticated ensemble. She wore a tan leather bomber jacket with puff sleeves, layered over a crisp white collared shirt, which she neatly tucked into her jeans. Her choice of trousers was a pair of high-waisted, wide-leg denims in a dark wash, accessorised with a simple black belt featuring a gold buckle. Completing the look with minimal makeup and her blonde hair worn down, Paltrow exuded a youthful glow.

Star-Studded AFI Awards Luncheon

Earlier that same day, the actress was a guest at the prestigious AFI Awards Luncheon in Beverly Hills, an event honouring the American Film Institute's top 10 films and TV shows of the year. The gathering was a veritable who's who of Hollywood, with attendees including Emma Stone, George Clooney, Adam Sandler, and Ariana Grande.

It was here that Paltrow was photographed sharing warm moments with two notable leading men: Jacob Elordi, with whom she appeared deep in conversation, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Friendly Reunion with Leonardo DiCaprio

The interaction with DiCaprio was particularly noteworthy, coming two years after Paltrow revealed on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast that she had declined a date with the actor in the 1990s. At the time, she cited his reputation, joking that he was "very loose with the goods" from a young age.

However, any past awkwardness seemed entirely absent. The pair were captured warmly greeting and embracing each other at the Four Seasons Hotel venue. In one shot, Paltrow, adorned in jewellery from TACORI's Dahlia Collection, beamed at DiCaprio, who returned her smile. Another photo showed her wrapping her arm around his neck to pull him in for a close, friendly hug.

The luncheon served as a reminder of Paltrow's long-standing connections in Hollywood. During the same 2023 podcast interview where she mentioned DiCaprio, she also reflected on past romances with Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck, praising both as "good kissers." She described Pitt as a "major chemistry, love of your life" kind of encounter, while noting Affleck was "technically excellent." When pressed during a game of 'F***, Marry, Kill,' she said she would remarry ex-husband Chris Martin, sleep with Pitt, and kill Affleck. Paltrow is now married to producer Brad Falchuk.
