Jamie Laing Calls Wife Sophie Habboo a 'Creep' Over Celebrity Crush Encounter
Jamie Laing Brands Wife Sophie Habboo 'Creep' Over Celebrity Crush

Jamie Laing branded his wife Sophie Habboo a "creep" after she admitted to trying to get close to a Hollywood A-lister. The reality star, 39, who has been married to his Made In Chelsea co-star Sophie, 32, since 2023 and has six-month-old Ziggy with her, was discussing each other's "hall passes" when the anecdote came up in conversation.

A "hall pass" is slang used by monogamous couples to describe who their significant other is allowed to have a one-off sexual encounter with, and it is usually a celebrity. It was then that Sophie recounted a time that she and Jamie were attending Ian Somerhalder's and Paul Wesley's Brothers Bond Bourbon launch, and she ended up meeting Ian, best known for his role as Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries, whilst Paul starred as his on-screen sibling Stefan.

During an episode of their NewlyParents podcast, Jamie said: "I actually met Sophie's hall pass," as Sophie cut in with: "It was Damon from Vampire Diaries [played by Ian] and we went to this drinks thing because everyone seems to know I'm obsessed!"

The TV star and his wife were discussing the concept of a 'hall pass' when the topic came up. A "hall pass" is slang used by monogamous couples to describe who their significant other is allowed to have a one-off sexual encounter with, and it is usually a celebrity.

"When we came in he was wearing this little cowboy hat that looked like it was from a souvenir shop and he's gorgeous and I will say he's shorter than Jamie everybody! For some reason I was getting thrown on him."

Jamie then admitted that he had never seen his wife looking so shy, as he explained: "I've never seen Sophie so coy and I was like 'What do you think is gonna happen here? You guys are gonna go home and shag?'" But Sophie explained that there was just confusion between the pair, as she came to the conclusion that Ian must have thought she was an investor in his company.

She added: "He couldn't understand why everyone was like thrusting me on him... So, I think he thought he was here promoting his whiskey. I think he thought I was like a big investor. So he kept selling the whiskey to me...'So I was there like, you know, breastfeeding, so I'm not drinking any of this whiskey anyway. He six glasses of different whiskey. He's like, 'Taste this one. This is like smooth. And then can you feel it tingling your lips? I was like pretending to drink all of these whiskeys so close to my face. We were literally like our noses were touching it. I nearly went I went, 'I'll drink out of your glass...'"

Jamie was left stunned at his wife's confession and he said: "You big old creep... If he had turned to you and said: 'Sophie, Sophie, I Hey, I think we should go home together.' What would you have said?"

Sophie admitted she would have asked Jamie his permission for her to go home with Ian - whom she referred to as his on-screen persona - and she was confident he would have allowed her to do so. She added: "Sure, go. Hey, Damon, have a fun night. What do you think I would have done?"

The TV stars are known for being open and honest with their fans about their personal life, and Jamie recently made a frank confession about intimacy on camera. The couple documented their journey to parenthood on Disney+ documentary, Raising Chelsea, but just days ago, Jamie admitted that the pressure to conceive affected his performance in the bedroom - something wife, Sophie, revealed left her "raging".

Lifting the lid on the tense time, Jamie said: "For some reason, every part of my being was like 'don't do this' and I was like: 'What's going on?' So, nothing was working."

"Wait, nothing was working?" shocked host Olivia interjected, as Jamie repeated: "Nothing was working." Sophie, who met Jamie on Made In Chelsea, then revealed how Jamie's worries had affected her, admitting: "Raging, I was like, you're f*****g joking, this is f****d…"
