Jennifer Lawrence's NYC Stroll & Awkward Emma Stone Texts After SAG Snub
Jennifer Lawrence's NYC Outfit & Emma Stone Award Snub Texts

Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence turned heads with a bold fashion choice during a solo walk in New York City this week, just as she opened up about a humorous yet awkward text exchange with fellow A-lister Emma Stone.

An Eccentric Winter Ensemble

The 35-year-old actress, known for her candid personality, made a statement on the chilly streets of Manhattan. On Thursday, she was spotted bundled up in a thick puffer jacket and a cream cashmere sweater. The standout piece, however, was a hot pink pashmina scarf which she wore wrapped around her waist as a skirt, layered over a pair of sweatpants.

Completing her casual yet eccentric look, Lawrence wore soft leather shoes, noise-cancelling headphones, and dark sunglasses. She appeared to be talking on the phone, showcasing a cool demeanour with her hands in her pockets and little to no makeup.

The Playful Award Snub Texts

This outing followed a candid revelation about her reaction to the recent SAG Actor Awards nominations. Lawrence, who was snubbed for her performance in Die My Love, shared the details at an event at New York's 92NY on Wednesday.

She explained that when nominations were announced, her friend Emma Stone was nominated for her role in Bugonia, while she was not. In a group chat where friends were congratulating Stone, Lawrence simply sent a sad face emoji.

"She got nominated for SAG today and I did not," Lawrence told host Josh Horowitz. She joked about her long-running friendly rivalry with Stone, recalling, "Every time she's tried to, like, talk today, I've just been like... 'If you can talk, why are you not sorry?' But yeah, no, she's been beating me for decades, and it's an honour."

Lawrence also admitted that one of the roles she lost to Stone still stings: Easy A. "I was nuts for Easy A and really should have gotten it, right? It would have been great," she said.

Current Projects and Future Collaborations

Despite the awards season disappointment, Lawrence remains busy. She recently attended a special screening for her new film, Die My Love, where she debuted a new hairstyle with bangs. The film, directed by Lynne Ramsay and also starring Robert Pattinson and Sissy Spacek, was released on 7 November 2025.

Looking ahead, the two actresses are set to collaborate on a new project. Lawrence and Stone are working together on a Miss Piggy movie directed by Cole Escola, proving their professional rivalry is always underpinned by mutual respect and friendship.
